if you use apple.com/icloud.com it will force user to use mfa every 1 hour. Apple got horrible engineering.

i see lot of tailscale is running and isn't tailscale mostly written in Go?
Google is killing its own product. Gemini Argon is much better at writing and to some extend coding, but my teammates keep using deepseek because it is available and don't have to check vertex ai, ai studio, gemini, antigravity and all those shit...
I think they should rename company to Misanthropic due to the excessive scale they are distilling humanity.
The problem is there will always be country or states that won't follow such rule. And M$ will figure out how to hire people there...
Honestly, when I see my friends out of job, I question if these data are rigged...
Yea, but they don't have to act like they are doing society a big favor. People are angry because they said "We Meta employees want to build technologies and platforms that millions of people use and enjoy". When we all know what they are creating....
"We Meta employees want to build technologies and platforms that millions of people use and enjoy."

We Palantir employees want to build software tools for clients to combine, clean, and make sense of their own scattered datasets

It was massively overhyped that we would see chatgpt sol at 750 tps.. But that never happened.
I can't watch youtube due to all these garbage. Youtube should allow me to blanket ban on publisher who use full AI for full video.
This is a coordination problem, so people can't do anything.
Or some will bend their knees and things will continue as normal.
> Just hours after the $1,000 arrived, it was divided into smaller amounts and sent to a network of other accounts

Go after all these network of other accounts and cashapp must be held liable. They didn't do proper identity verification... And, these police seems incapable of finding real criminal. They are fool to assume people will use their own account to scam others.

Re:Google cleared 300 hectares of Finnish forest on Thursday October 22, 2026 @03:41PM (#50200037)
The main goal of google is to make more money, not lose more money by building datacenter underground.

Kinda funny that logo says "Trust Delivered". They don't seem to have 0 problem with such a big scale damage on public internet and simply trying to shrug off the problem.

This is problem with Indian companies, their founder and management always try to hire cheap labor and penny pinch on everything. And, this is the result we see again and again.

PHP team has always been like this. Instead of creating better software they have always tried to add features with no consideration of backward compatibility.

No serious project should use PHP.

i don't look at code anymore. I do write great specs and run whole app/program in my head. And I do read code where i need to read which is probably 5-10%.

It is similar to how i don't look into assembly code anymore and trust llvm.

I would not recommend using PHP. The PHP team keeps breaking backward compatibility and trying to introduce new features instead of focusing on fixing bugs and hardening the compiler.

And, i don't understand why we are still using PHP. Agents can use Rust or go directly and we get benefit of performance...
The irony is the article is very sloppy. Can we at least write it and review it properly..
Re:Tsrs: A Port of TypeScript to Rust on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @03:07PM (#50171156)
I am okay if agents can write code that is very safe in ASM. I am sure code written in Rust are naturally safe compared to asm or c. Waiting for tsasm to be significantly faster and safer than tsrs.

"eMudhra is an Indian public key infrastructure (PKI) and licensed certifying authority headquartered in Bangalore, India"

There is reason why company shouldn't cheap out and use foreign vendors like this....

Hopefully, trump loses so badly republican will get some sense.
i would do same if i have to use windows. I will literally pay anything to not use windows, thanks to microslop.

Re:It's still OK to enjoy programming on Monday October 19, 2026 @11:57AM (#50153993)
The problem is that AI is creating a race to the bottom. We are forced to use AI tools and burn tokens because leadership don't have a clue. And even if you're doing complex work, people will assume it's just a prompt...

I enjoy writing complex programs because I get appreciation for my work. I don't really care that much, but I'm sure we humans love being appreciated for what we do.

Re:Suicide rates highest ever among middle-aged men on Friday October 16, 2026 @11:16PM (#50127573)
In many cases having kids often causes more depression due to lack of money and increased responsibilities.
Re:Suicide rates highest ever among middle-aged men on Friday October 16, 2026 @11:12PM (#50127541)
also AI can do physical job. AI can already drive cars, solving simple physical problem isn't going to be a big issue once token per second shoots up.
Re:OpenCode 2.0 on Thursday October 15, 2026 @11:44PM (#50113810)
I have been using open code and it is horrible with ram usage. Every subagent takes like 300 MB of RAM. As they are vibe coding, i think they should use language that consumes less RAM eg. Rust or C.

Looking deeper, I think Ant really did copy the work. I don't think you should feel ashamed or defend it by saying that a lot of research is required.

Yes, copying takes a lot of research. It takes a lot of effort to collect OSS data, and a huge amount of research is needed.
