"Case connects to the matrix (also a Gibson term)"
Matrix isn't Gibson's term. Doctor Who used the term Matrix back in the 70's referring to a supercomputer simulated reality environment.

This is the first non-shallow critique of angular delivered from a place of experience I've seen. After creating 2 medium size production web apps, I found my self shaking my head in agreement.
If the author reads Hacker News, thanks for the write up.
When Vue gets first class Typescript support, it will get real consideration for our next app.

What hype? At least on HN I see more of a negative sentiment.
I personally like the framework though.

Change the object being picked out from grills to window curtains. let's see the results instead of vague posts in the comments section that other objects were tested.

Every citizen has one vote and 24 hours in a day to allocate to supporting a candidate (bounded by the obvious). Speech has much more in common with time than it does money.
Re:Promisees – JavaScript Promises Visualization

Const is a pretty good example, the closest I can think to emulating it in es5 is something like:
Object.defineProperty(this, 'five', { enumerable: true, writable: false, value: 5, configurable: false });
If in global scope, 'five' will look like a const.
WeakMap and WeakSet have polyfills with minor caveats.
I guess you're defining language features as not "syntactic sugar" if they can't be absolutely 100% polyfilled.

Does the phrase "syntactic sugar" have any meaning? Name a new language feature that "it is just syntactic sugar" can't be applied to.
