"A BBC investigation has revealed that 80 per cent of child abuse images it reported to Facebook were not removed. Facebook responded to the allegations by requesting the BBC send examples of the material to it, then reporting the team to the authorities for sending them."

Edit: The title previously read (I am paraphrasing) "BBC finds FB failed to remove child abuse. FB reports BBC to authorities."

Re:PSA: Please Report iOS and Siri Bugs to Apple on Wednesday June 05, 2019 @05:03PM (#20109110)
Depends on what you call disable. Tapping in the control center will disconnect from WiFi but the phone will then connect automatically to any other network it knows.
Re:PSA: Please Report iOS and Siri Bugs to Apple on Wednesday June 05, 2019 @09:53AM (#20104329)
My main complaint with iOS(12) is that there is no quick way to disable WiFi. It's frustrating having to go to Settings -> WiFi multiple times a day for such a simple task.

Some times the networks the phone picks up don't even allow internet access right away, and any apps which requires an internet connection simply stops working.

I get the reasoning for making it easier for people to not waste their data. But I don't see why that requires adding so much friction to the rest of us.

'Desayuno, comida y cena' is how people refer to the main meals in the Dominican Republic, 'almuerzo' is also used to mean lunch but mostly in formal settings. I also just asked a Colombian friend and he says 'comida' is mostly used to refer to dinner, and 'almuerzo' for lunch.

Edit: He also says 'cena' is a more formal, less common way to refer to dinner.

BOOKING.COM - Amsterdam, The Netherlands | ONSITE | VISA Sponsorship | Relocation package

Hiring process: Hacker rank test -> Recruiter Call -> Phone/Skype Interview -> Trip to Amsterdam for final interview.

We are the biggest accommodations site on the planet. We are a very data driven, diverse and dynamic company. We all have a saying on what we want to do, and you are trusted with the flexibility of how to do it.

I came to work for Booking as an iOS Developer a few months ago. Being from a third world country, and having only had local experience, when I applied, I was not sure I was going to make it. However, not only was I hired, and helped relocate to the Netherlands, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences (except that one time I had a bad migraine and couldn’t go to work) since I moved here.

If any of that sounds like it might interest you here are some of the positions available:

* Software developer: http://grnh.se/g7y1iw1

* Front end developer: http://grnh.se/ts8ixw1

* UX designer (HTML/CSS): http://grnh.se/6lwb5c1
