News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

I'm planning to do the same. Put things into storage and get a better view. Any advice finding a place?
Very informative and transparent. This should be the standard everywhere.

I'm a bit surprised (and disappointed) something similar does not exist for the Bay Area.

Withdrawal symptoms (primarily seizures, I believe) can be lethal.

What kind of fixture are they in?
Re:Save .org on Friday November 22, 2019 @11:30PM (#21612474)
Not sure why this is getting downvotes. I'm seeing the same - Chrome blocks it, then my work VPN does, with the following error:

"This site is blocked due to a security threat that was discovered by the Cisco Umbrella security researchers."

Re:Lack of cdnjs activity on Friday November 01, 2019 @03:05AM (#21416756)
To clarify: it looks like CloudFlare is the actual CDN behind CDNJS. And getting on board the new fork would mean updates to every single reference to CDNJS URLs (in codebases), on top of the community of contributors moving. Yikes.
Re:Stripe Capital on Thursday September 05, 2019 @01:36PM (#20889035)
(disclosure: I work at Square but not on Capital)

Square Capital takes only a few clicks to sign up, and loan offers automatically show up if you're already eligible [1], so this part of the offering is quite similar.

FYI - there is some duplicated content under the "How does this site work?" heading.

+1 for Contentful with Gatsby. Painless setup.

Great idea.

Are you open to PRs? This is kind of project I would love to work on.

I really like this idea. I may steal it.

Thanks for sharing.

Seems to be. I'm on the same network as others not having any issues.

Re:What travel insurance really means on Tuesday July 17, 2018 @01:02PM (#17551205)
Or, which insurer has customers who do not read their policies.

Accepted vs. rejected claims is meaningless on its own.

I wrote my first Python script to do it:

Full disclosure: it's slow and there's no progress feedback.

Re:The Mysterious Heir of Extreme Travel on Thursday May 17, 2018 @03:50PM (#17094895)
The particular family name he chose was carefully selected to ward off suspicion as well. Very interesting.

In your story, the lies were the emotional bait, correct?

Re:Ask HN: What tools do you use to automate your business? on Thursday April 19, 2018 @10:05AM (#16875950)
Mind expanding on your use case for Butler for Trello? Their landing page is a little unclear on specifics.
Fantastic idea.

Re:Ask HN: What influenced your personal growth the most? on Monday January 15, 2018 @09:01AM (#16150508)
Can you elaborate? For pleasure or for work? How long?
These are higher abstractions than the internet itself.

Net neutrality does not exclude these.

What happens if Comcast decides to dramatically slow down Reddit/Facebook/YouTube in favour of another service? Your point no longer stands.

In 2017, it seems unreasonable to say one should have to resort to sending paid postage (from Australia) to simply get in contact with a company who has stolen their work.
Re:Amazon cuts Whole Foods prices on Monday August 28, 2017 @01:23PM (#15118323)
Anyone know if this will be applied to prices in Canada?
Specifically, foobar2000 works pretty well with the iPod manager plugin. The device support is limited.
This is a great idea. Helpful for those who don't know where to start.
The battery life on the SoundCore is superb as well.
I have the same phone, but battery life has significantly dropped in the past 6 months. What version of Android are you running on yours?
