Maybe in political views, but does the show Picard seem like someone who would (twice) leave his wife to marry a woman half his age? Would Picards children not want to talk to him in his old age?
And there are 1000 other actors the world would have loved just as much reading the same script.
Are you telling me the exact same writers and producers couldn't have found one other male actor to play the role? 10,000 people would have wanted the role of enterprise captain.
And in real life he cheated on multiple spouses and his children were barely talking to him in his old age. Definitely not someone to emulate.
Actually he gave all the details in his book. They are pretty bad tbh. He admits he has zero relationship with his adult children. The book just made me sad.
Lol he didnt, he just cheated on every spouse he had and lied to them and felt bad about it in his 80s in his book
This is such a thoughtful way to split the subject I agree with it completely.
From my 15 years being involved in startups, I would agree with this. Especially in marketing teams, which has been my area. There is no right answer which can be confirmed easily so you just have to really really care.
I will also say this is not the same as hard work. Hours and intensity is not the same. I would be considered a very successful person by most, but I have never "worked" more than 30 hours a week. But I've cared very very intensely about the results of the work that I'm doing.
You also can't expect it of employees unless you're paying them a fuck ton/have incentives.
To me this exposes the extreme limitations Wikipedia has given itself. My location could have 10 times as many Wikipedia articles nearby about things that are interesting, unique, or historically relevant. But those articles would all get denied.
This information is available in the annual reports of all these companies. It's the advertising revenue per user per year. For Meta it's like $100 a year for U.S. users.
This will be successfully appealed. It is an outrageous verdict for something with zero actual harms.
Documentaries and video in general are just dramatically, intensely worse mediums for communicating factual learnings compared to books and text in general.
Fielder has said that setting the tone with music in documentaries is among the most important things he does. I also find that unsettling.
Its basically how all the ad platforms fundamentally work: they use conversion events to train their ad algorithms.
Logistics and shipping cost a lot. Amazon is one of the cheapest warehouses that you can use for this purpose.
Comparing a dissafected american programmer to a real slave is just not the right take
This is the kind of person for whom AI is making the most negative change. I feel sad for them. For me, I love this new world. I never took pleasure in craftsmanship or perfectionism, I just want things to work and then iterate on it with as little effort as possible.
I love this comment. It is extremely accurate to my experience.
Not putting signatures in art unless otherwise requested should become a default in AI instances.
It is more or less trivial to find someone's home address now if you try at all. Thats my point on duplicated data in hacks.
I am going to be very curious to see if there are any downsides or negatives at all to this hacking happening. In theory this information could be used to scam a lot of Danes. In practice these major hacks end up fizzling out, in my experience - the data being less useful or more duplicated than people thought.
Just copy and paste my original post into ai and have it explain what I mean and what the evidence suggests. It will say it is true the correlation is massive like cm2012 says but he is being too sure with his reasoning. You can evaluate from there.
MB extraversion correlates basically the same as Big 5. They are more similar than different
Just keep looking up high quality surveys on different loneliness related topics until you are convinced. There are a lot of different ways to ask it. They all point in the same direction.
Big 5 traits like extraversion are pretty conclusively genetic and meaningful. Twin studies show strong heritability, and personality studies show meaningful lifetime outcome differences (extraverts earn more, etc).
Humanity's revealed preferences are really, really strong here.
As basically every country on Earth gets richer, two things happen in survey results.
One is that as people get richer they spend more time apart. Household sizes get smaller, the number of social interactions per week goes down, etc.
You'll also see that as countries get richer people say that they report feeling less lonely. Loneliness is less of an issue for the rich countries who live more apart. The correlation between this and GDP is comical. As you get to poorer countries, like clockwork, people report being lonelier in surveys.
The evidence suggests that as people get more choice they decide to see people less and they also feel happier for it and less lonely. So I don't think there's a problem here.
By this measure you will exclude almost all subject matter experts from having an opinion.
Yes I have seen their quizzes and examples of how they work and and how it's supposed to feed into ad targeting in theory
