Re:You Are Not Dumb, You Just Lack the Prerequisites on Saturday August 24, 2024 @01:57PM (#41340008)
The source of about 30% of the hits I took in homework and tests was, to this day, not having memorized the basic values of Sin/Cos(pi, pi/2, pi/4).
Hierarchical model for the win. Consistent with Jeff Hawkins research as well.
I swear this comment comes across as a bot.
True...

Though I think there is more to LSD. It's fair to be skeptical. If the pitch is it's going to fix everything for everyone, or the likes, then it's definitely a lie.

Point being you gotta get your measure to the millions of other clones.

My understanding is they are all still transformers. The tweaks are more about quantization that better to generalize over data more efficiently (so less parameters requires) and improvement of the training data/process itself.

Otherwise I'd like to know specifically whats better/improved between models themselves.

I would join as well. And donate.
This is unacceptable.
My perspective here is that to do the job was going to be near impossible. No one even knows at this point how to succeed.

And if we need to learn how to succeed, the initial heuristic of applying the law is the only starting point. Failure was the expected initial result.

She can fail for the entirety of her term. We lose nothing from the status quo. But if she can stick to it - then after she's taken enough of the initial beatings, someone else can come and succeed with the learnings she provides.

Eh? She seems like the first in a very long time to actually be making a legitimate attempt at the job.

Makes her very likable.

Ah good reminder why I'm paying for the intercept.

I think I'm one that is a bit fatigued by the idea of learning a new thing w/o enough wins here.

On the other hand, the unproductive critique in all the comments makes me think everyone forgot how hard it is try to make something better.

Is there anyways to make it anonymous?
Ya I think he's actually unlike most other CEOs. The man does super unpopular decisions in front of everyone.
I'm seriously confused how people can remotely equate them. Nawaz sharif is worth 100s of millions. He's driving around in Bentleys in London for 4 years while his brother is PM of Pakistan.

I really want to know what did IK profit in the current allegations? He's creating a university where students learn for free like his decades old hospitals where people get free healthcare.

Is there a source for the 41 lynchings in America?
Very much false. That's why they arrested him like this. He'd been going to court for cases like terrorism because of "blasphemy".

He's a major threat to the very corrupt army and dynastic parties. All other parties have joined in a coalition with the army. The only opposition is Imran Khan.

Sharifs: The head of one has been in self exile in London while he made his brother prime minister. His daughter and nephews run the party. He was found to have been hiding money when the Panama papers came out.

Zardaris: Was prime minister when Osama bin Laden was found hiding in Pakistan. Known as mr 10%. His niece accused him of killing Bhuttos. He's made his son the heir to the party.

The richest folks in Pakistan are Sharifs & Zardaris.

They tried to assassinate him and got very close to it.

Re:Can GPT-4 *Actually* Write Code? on Friday March 17, 2023 @04:36AM (#35194637)
In the post, author says that the GPT-3 version it apparently worked well. Which is really is amazing to me.

The prompts really read in a way where I wouldn't have expected the "correct" output.

Re:Can GPT-4 *Actually* Write Code? on Friday March 17, 2023 @02:08AM (#35193753)
What's most astounding is that it was expected to work when so much of the prompt just doesn't make sense:

> Objects should only move if they will end up on an empty tile after their move

> "An object is free to move onto a tile that another object moves onto if that other object is moving off of its tile"

Re:EU will require Apple to open up iMessage on Thursday March 02, 2023 @10:51AM (#34997182)
Is there more on this? Can this as is really be enough to maintain the security guarantees Apple currently provides?

I'm the most ignorant man alive when it comes to war - but this is what I want to know.

Isn't sensor + tracking abilities far more advanced at shooting down planes than planes are at creating damage? And if that's the case, aren't hyper/sonic/long/range stuff better at evading defenses?

Seems like the next "war" will be LoL style to me.

Re:Google is shutting down Stadia on Thursday September 29, 2022 @11:38PM (#33030615)
Effectively? Cause you can get it wrong and get a bunch of WeWorks...

To be fair - didn't really look into it past the graph, but my initial question would be how much that has to do with all the money that artificially got pumped into the economy last year.

Re:Google is shutting down Stadia on Thursday September 29, 2022 @04:45PM (#33026914)
I've long thought big companies and individuals have WAY more money than they know how to effectively use.

This is really hurting American innovation edge. If we could figure out a more effective way to get that money towards entrepreneurs / start ups - we'd be way better off.

To be fair - I think James Baldwin explained it so it's not just Indians. For a lot of folks, you feel some sense of security about your place in the world when you know there's someone "lower" than you.
Me too - I have an air filter (noise/replacing it) but I rather this. Do you know where I can get one?? Figure it'd be easy to get

Is there a layman explanation of what this about? Improved Digital focusing??

I get the general attitude/perspective and I'm largely in agreement.

I'll nit-pick on his point of buying experiences vs things.

Though I agree that instagrammable experiences don't have much meaningful value, I do value a lot experiences where I paid not an insignificant amount of money.

I'm assuming the author meant some balance but called something out based on his impression of an audience (maybe some projection on his part). But "paid experiences" can meaningfully lead to personal growth, perspective of other countries/peoples, deepening friendships.

That being said - you should have good long term finances to even make all that viable.
