I'm in the bay area and dinner for two is absolutely nowhere close to $200 unless you are going somewhere fancy or ordering many drinks. Looking at my transaction history, it's closer to about $40 per person.

Very melodramatic.
Re:Mold Linker Version 3.0.0 Release – Rewritten in Rust on Monday October 05, 2026 @01:00PM (#49967429)
How do you feel about the bun rust rewrite having no major issues, with it being used to run claude code for months now?
I worked in an early startup that came from 5+ years of initial academic research and selling the product was far more arduous of a process.
In academia (at least in fields that primarily use LaTeX) most people just use Overleaf.
Claude has identified itself as DeepSeek before if prompted in Chinese, is it DeepSeek?
No one really cares about licenses, especially now. Just use it, the odds of consequences are unfathomably low.

Note that this is a minority position, most of the world does not live in the West and does not share your view on Mao and Che having a "strongly negative" contribution.

Good question, this was very well known. Do you have an answer?
Re:OpenShot 4.0: Record, Edit, and Color Like Never Before on Monday August 31, 2026 @12:13PM (#49511472)
The fact that they reimplemented everything from scratch doesn't give much confidence. The last thing I want to deal with in a video editor are bugs from code that's seen less real-world use, originating from who knows where.
Re:Stealth Model on Thursday August 20, 2026 @11:11PM (#49383295)
Is there a model you didn't use because of the "safety considerations" in the model card?
Re:Stealth Model on Thursday August 20, 2026 @11:09PM (#49383283)
Not much would go wrong.

T3 Code if you want to use your subscriptions in an interface that respects its users.
Re:Splitting a Git Commit on Tuesday August 18, 2026 @05:34PM (#49353023)
This. Can't imagine going back to git after getting comfortable with jj, it's excellent.
Bingo. OP needs to do a lot more digging into what a PhD entails and why you get one, and hopefully not from the same sources of where they learned this terminology like "hard-tech" and "technology-first"

They are all unserious and insane, yes.
...we don't have to take off shoes anymore at US airports though.
This is an oversimplification. Yes, there was corruption, but it was much less corrupt than the US system, especially today. The US system doesn't try to hide it either, everyone knows about legacy admissions and "school spirit"/donations.
Re:Oracle bans AI-generated code from OpenJDK on Saturday August 08, 2026 @01:23PM (#49223806)
Great bit
You don't need to attempt to defend a known racist.
No need to comment.
Yes, I've found that T3 Code fills this gap nicely.
Re:Kimi K3 Now Available via Telnyx Inference API on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @04:40AM (#49081096)
How many times do people need to point out that every model has this behavior until this stops being posted?
"Sell by" is instead replaced with clearer, more standardized wording. Please at least read the (very short) article before posting.
Re:Anthropic CEO: Open-Source AI is getting dangerous on Monday June 29, 2026 @01:58PM (#48722719)
This is from 2023.
I'm surprised the Daily Mail is allowed to be posted here.
