Time to start a radon mitigation company!
Ask GitHub, Basecamp, Shopify, Zendesk, Netflix, etc, etc. This notion that Rails is slow and doesn’t scale is misinformed at best.

My Saab 900 Turbo feels like a brand new car now.

I bought an '88 900 Turbo when I was 19 years old. That car and I had a LOT of fun together. The closest thing I've found to that (feeling) is my '19 Golf R.

Tell that to the Xbox team.

Some of us live at higher latitudes and work during the day. It's not as simple or easy as just going outside.

Lots of assumptions made here simply to contradict one person's experiences.

Source if this is so definitive?

The fact that Breitbart is your first choice says plenty.

Is everyone trolling me? I’m simply asking for a reputable source stating that google is censoring their search results.
Or those things are not true. They’re definitely not sources. Let’s try again.

Source?

Re:Hidden Networks in TP-Link Routers on Tuesday December 21, 2021 @08:08PM (#29644281)
Totally on board with the US-based support. I’ve called them once and they were fantastic. As soon as they offer a model with 10Gb NICs, I’ll buy one of those, too.

As for god mode, I agree. Super customizable and everything works properly. I grew tired of the nonsense routing ubiquiti kept releasing, went to pfsense, and right to opnsense.

Re:Hidden Networks in TP-Link Routers on Tuesday December 21, 2021 @05:45PM (#29643026)
Hard to beat OPNsense on Protectli machines with your favorite flavor of networking hardware (Unifi, Microtik, etc).

> I'd love if the vaccine worked and I didn't have to hear about Covid ever again in my life. But obviously that's not going to happen and there isn't a plan for it to happen.

There isn't a plan for it? You dork. Knock off the stupid political conspiracy theory garbage. It'll never go away specifically because a ton of people won't/can't get vaccinated.

> Do you have any recommendations like Protectli, but for for the wireless AP?

Nope, but I'd love a viable alternative. It seems like every company I look at has some big downside that makes me stick with Ubiquiti.

> Ubiquiti does a great job of having good defaults out of the box, a straightforward UI, and remote management.

Which UI? The UDM has two. Mobile devices have another. Some features are only available on one of the UIs, and when the feature is available on both, it often behaves differently. Sounds pretty straightforward to me.

I ended up buying a Protectli box (FW6E) with OPNsense preinstalled. It's been fantastic, and blows Unifi out of the water.

> it somewhat repairs my view of Ubiquiti's brand

It shouldn't. Everything I read still speaks to their toxic culture and their inability to focus on a product before releasing 10 new ones.

I buy their switches and APs, but their routers are still garbage.

Do you enjoy regurgitating the same comment over and over again? Please keep your anti-mask/anti-vaccine garbage to yourself.

That seems like a problem with you, not the story.

You're a Xennial, just like me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xennials
> The key here from a government standpoint is Obesity impacts the life of the obese person only.

This couldn't be more wrong. Maybe you have a source for your claim? Doubtful, but maybe.

Per the Harvard School of Public Health: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/obesity-prevention-source/obesi...

"Excess weight harms health in many ways. It increases the risk of developing conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoarthritis, and some cancers, to name just a few, and reduces the life span. Treating obesity and obesity-related conditions costs billions of dollars a year. By one estimate, the U.S. spent $190 billion on obesity-related health care expenses in 2005-double previous estimates. The enormity of this economic burden and the huge toll that excess weight takes on health and well-being are beginning to raise global political awareness that individuals, communities, states, nations, and international organizations must do more to stem the rising tide of obesity."

"Days missed from work are a cost to both employees (in lost wages) and employers (in work not completed). Obese employees miss more days from work due to short-term absences, long-term disability, and premature death than non-obese employees. They may also work at less than full capacity (also known as presenteeism)."

"Employers pay higher life insurance premiums and pay out more for workers’ compensation for employees who are obese than for employees who are not."

It sure sounds like obese folks affect more than just themselves. I'd prefer that my health insurance premiums don't rise more than they have to due to your love of ice cream.

I had two 2016 15” machines (personal and work), and upgraded the personal machine to a 2019 16” for the better keyboard. I actually just got my work machine upgraded to a 2019 16” as well. Not a single issue with any of them. 14” Pro on the way now… :)
Hard to say, right? I had three of the previous gen machines without issue.

Who are you calling stupid? If you're going to call someone or something stupid, don't do it in a stupid way.
