Re:Peter Thiel sells most of remaining Facebook stake on Wednesday November 22, 2017 @03:38PM (#15760391)
That is a good thing, like Thiel or not, Google is unethical company and should be taken apart.
Re:Peter Thiel sells most of remaining Facebook stake on Wednesday November 22, 2017 @03:37PM (#15760381)
What? But when social media companies help the other guy win (Obama for an example), it's not a problem? Your president is a fool but by the look of it, you deserve exactly that kind of leader.
Re:Jekyll Static Web Hosting – Deployment Pipeline on AWS on Wednesday November 22, 2017 @03:33PM (#15760345)
Dear lord, you need aws, hooks, travis file at minimum.
How far can you climb with s balloon and jump down? Wouldn't it be more cost effective. I'm not sure if this guy is trolling or not, but if he really believes in flat earth I give him respect to "showing the proof" instead of moaning online.
Re:“Security problems are primarily just bugs” on Monday November 20, 2017 @01:42PM (#15742070)
There's no reason to be ashamed of, it's history. You didn't take part of it. By that standards, the whole world should be morning out of shame. There is no country that becomes one without violence, that is how the countries were born. Hence every citizen of each country should be ashamed of x.
Re:“Security problems are primarily just bugs” on Monday November 20, 2017 @09:03AM (#15739899)
I'm sure there are, but the majority of Europeans would believe this is absurd and nonsense. You understood very well what I meant.
Re:“Security problems are primarily just bugs” on Monday November 20, 2017 @09:02AM (#15739890)
And why would you do anything like that? To pamper to American counterparts? if you really are a Euro, you're brainwashed by American identity politics. Too bad they leak over the ocean.
Re:“Security problems are primarily just bugs” on Monday November 20, 2017 @06:15AM (#15739160)
It might not be an excuse, but judging by the things people are offended by in America, it really is a cultural difference.

I dare you to find European devs who believe terms slave and master in tech context are offensive and should be replaced.

How come did president Clinton continue but every man now is brought down?
Re:The Twitter Rules on Sunday November 19, 2017 @08:54AM (#15733887)
You are just cherry picking, leave your communist symbols home.
Re:The Twitter Rules on Sunday November 19, 2017 @07:56AM (#15733699)
I don't need a trigger warning but if you haven't lived under a communist regime you should hold your mouth shut.

If you're privileged enough to live in a free society, leave the communist symbols home or invent new ones.

Re:The Twitter Rules on Sunday November 19, 2017 @07:55AM (#15733694)
Would you say the same about swastika/nazi flag? My family was a victim of a communist regime, it's incredibly stupid to use those symbols. You can never compare that to Catalonia and Spain, this comparison is absurd.
Re:The Twitter Rules on Sunday November 19, 2017 @05:44AM (#15733310)
Professor who tweeted that he wants white holocaust is still active and spreading its propaganda with very hurtful communist regime symbols https://twitter.com/ciccmaher

Why is Twitter not doing anything?! They even verified him to him a more legitimate voice.

Why are you downvoting me, people? What is that I said was wrong?!
Re:Matt Blaze Recounts Teenaged Harassment By John Draper on Friday November 17, 2017 @11:54PM (#15727822)
Rubbing erect penis against the other person?!?
Re:Brave expands Basic Attention Token platform to YouTube on Friday November 17, 2017 @08:16PM (#15727252)
That is the problem of Google, who cares how they pay their bills? Also, if they really wanted, they could block people using Ad/Ublock on their site, but they don't. Why do you care about a multibillion dollar corp? I sure don't.
Re:Brave expands Basic Attention Token platform to YouTube on Friday November 17, 2017 @08:12PM (#15727238)
I am, and if Brave can play its card right, they can make a big blow to Google. They just need to get creators on board and right now 90% of creators are pissed at Google/YouTube, so the timing is perfect.
Met my first love but didn't get married. Congratulations!
As part of the deal they should have negotiated that Google removes that bagger 'install Chrome' from so many of their products.
Re:Hotbed of Misinformation on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @02:11PM (#15706817)
Not where I live! What word should we use now?
Re:Hotbed of Misinformation on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @02:09PM (#15706793)
Isn't is degrading towards minorities? It's difficult to understand sometimes the American way of thinking, but in my eyes things like that only want to make the negative stereotypes stronger about some groups of people not being intelligent enough.
Re:Hotbed of Misinformation on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @02:06PM (#15706768)
I doubt, since the liberals run the media.

Also, it is extremely hurtful towards victims to say Hollywood is under attack, like they are the victims. Too many hypocrites there and shady things going on which doesn't mean the situation is dangerous regarding people being innocent and hung publicly.

Re:Facebook's experiments with user behavior in Serbia on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @12:58PM (#15705927)
There is no need for central planning, but a little protection from central. There is nothing wrong with protectionism.
Re:Facebook's experiments with user behavior in Serbia on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @09:31AM (#15703950)
Why are you talking about spam, did you even read the article?
Re:Facebook's experiments with user behavior in Serbia on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @09:30AM (#15703940)
What a bullshit comment, Facebook needs to be more responsible with its massive power, it can ruin countries.

Europe needs to do something about the Silicon Valley companies, we can't build Chinese firewall but in order to have a chance for competition we need to come up with a plan. One possible way to fuck off FB is because it's spy machine that is very much illegal on some aspects.

Re:CNN – 1996 Year in Review on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @09:25AM (#15703888)
Some if the things he is saying are true and make sense, I've read the manifesto and I wouldn't say a lunatic wrote.

His actions of course don't make sense, with all the respect to victims.

Sorry to burst your bubble but advertising is always lying and shilling.
Re:Peter Thiel Gave Money to Attorney General Going After Google on Wednesday November 15, 2017 @02:17AM (#15702026)
The fact that your Republicans have bone to pick might turn out to be good for the whole world if they can stop Google.
Re:Introducing Twitter premium APIs on Tuesday November 14, 2017 @05:39PM (#15699887)
They somehow bribed the media using it. Without the massive free advertising from media and President(s) Twitter would have been long dead.
Re:Introducing Twitter premium APIs on Tuesday November 14, 2017 @05:36PM (#15699859)
> Scraping the Twitter website is against the terms of service and may result in permanent suspension of access.

And what is Twitter gonna do about it? I never sign the TOS and scrape as much as I want.
