Not a fan of Meta but this is a rather unfair statement to make. They're pretty knee deep in low level systems + hardware-software co-design.

But one is a press release from ARM and the other is a report from CNBC. How are the two the same?
By your logic, there shouldn't be a gazillion posts about Apple Events the day it happens.

That has not been my experience at all. My mom and dad were able to switch from ChatGPT to Gemini without any friction whatsoever. I myself round robin between Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT all the time.
I'm mostly talking about people running to buy a mac mini to run OpenClaw (which seems to be most of the posts I've encountered so far)
I think they're people who have yet to come across virtual machines.

Are both using a PCIe switch? If one is and the other isn't, it could be about PCIe credit based flow control kicking in.

Curious what you mean by learning? Learning about TLPs? Learning about FPGA DMA Engines like XDMA? Learning about PCIe switches / retimers? Learning about `lspci`?

It's winter here. That's mostly an issue during summer. Also, if you're out trekking, then that is a non-issue (especially higher up in the mountains).

Maybe it's just me, but that right there is the stuff of nightmares. What library, and written by who, is it going to pull in.

I don't know about that. All I'm pointing out is that just because US doesn't like China doesn't mean there isn't a bigger market out there. So, even if China ends up servicing that market only, that's still a big chunk of the pie. So, case in point, a Chinese DRAM maker flooding the market with cheap(er) DRAMs (or any DRAM for that matter -- thanks Micron), will end up affecting the price of DRAM in the US.
