More likely some key management died allowing the line of succession to punt it onto the markets for a new piggy bank
these would make for a kickass site and app designs
society works with mutual cooperation and hackers seem to understand that more than the "technically cooperating in this context" that the legal field would employ
sort of like how we wouldn't be studying a lot of this stuff right now if such a large portion of the population hadn't gotten so old
what I saw: Hm Stellar has a Development Fund, and people within Keybase' engineering team that wanted cryptocurrency security to be easier so less people get scammed
what you saw: questionable corporate goals because things involving cryptocurrency involve people getting scammed
fascinating, to say the least, it is a perspective.
I'm not even sure if the article is what you responded to
Private sector and their partners can all still use it
If you are disillusioned then its time for something new
But at this point, I don't think it matters. Colloquially, saying 'tulips' gets the point across. People know that you are criticizing the exuberance or volatility of an ephemeral asset. People know what asset price distortion you are comparing it to.
it just opens the discussion on this general topic, but nothing really about the specific thing being discussed
My brother as an adult was able to self diagnose and just try adderall(or was it ritalin) since even non-ADHD people get benefits concentrating with it, and yeah that worked out well for him, he doesnt continue using it and can approach professional work more holistically. I would attribute a lot of his academia challenges and underperformance to undiagnosed ADD/ADHD. Works great for the coked out party scene though. Got to swim in the right environment.
I dont have the above experience, but I did take an in person class at a college recently. Havent otherwise done formal education in almost a decade. The first couple of sessions I was fidgeting and couldnt stand sitting still, which was shocking to me but I got acclimated after that. I cant imagine what children are going through, I think our environment isnt helping
forking is just a gesture, especially for obviously hot repos. a takedown of 1 can takedown all the forks
When you file things in court between private individuals, or for a government indictment, it becomes an instruction manual. Scrap whatever internet marketing handbook you ordered, disregard whatever guru you are following and hoping to trust, these court filings are the canonical source on what successful people are doing online.
Well, they could now, but I don't really think the market is that mature.
Larger organizations behind drug-peddling conglomerates are adequately hedged and diversified and can withstand a big shipment failing.
but arbitrary screening questions for interviews and silly coding exercises have no bearing on that
I’ve blended in pretty well all through upper management
Make a quadrant chart of ways to make money with assets. The X-axis is margins and the Y-axis is overhead costs. You could even add a Z-axis for weight as you need the ability to transport a lot for scale. There are very few assets with comparatively low overhead costs, high margins, and low weight.
You pretty much just have only drugs, share dilution and - as of this decade - cryptographic tokens. They all pretty much invoke the same highs.
Worth it.
And other people are looking for confirmation that proficiency is possible or that the differences are quite narrow
you want to prove the possibility of an extreme, and I want to prove that most adult just make excuses as the pseudoscience that says adults worse at learning is convenient for all cognitive circumstances
There is a patreon page linked right on his twitter page. He may not be exchanging time for food and shelter, but he is playing the same marketing game as anyone else for a personal high score.
linking to a blog he has to maintain would drop engagement off a cliff
Thats the why, since you asked
In this case Uber Inc exchanged illiquid stock for liquid dollars.
Why the semantical debate? Did the use of the word “make” really bother you? What about when there is dilution like in most funding rounds? Shares of equivalent value are literally made. In this IPO Im not sure if that happened with the sale to the underwriters or not.
This kind of asset exchange is what we are all trying to do, exchange one asset for a more liquid one, dollars. They succeeded in doing that to the tune of 8.1 billion usd. The same us dollars that give access to everything in the global financial system via wire transfer.
If this is a national stock exchange, then that would be fitting for silicon valley and California. If bankers here would like to take other parts of the transaction for IPOs and direct listings it could really be a boon for the state and remove a lot of the pressure from New York investment banks, as California is economically larger than other most countries with relevant financial centers. On many lists, California is only in 5th place GDP worldwide because the United States as a whole is above it and double counts California.
Thats interesting definition of "literally traded a bunch of shares to underwriters in exchange for $8,100,000,000 and let the underwriters worry about liquidity on the stock exchanges"
Uber has dollars for the shares they sold. Liquidity is not a concern for the party of the transaction I talked about.
should really start looking at this from the underwriter and issuer perspective to understand the success story here. Retail buys ticker symbols that have been marketed to them. Everyone else dumps. Company made a ton of money and can do whatever it wants with it, they gain nothing from secondary market trading today. VCs, founders and employees can't sell for another 60-90 days, but founders can give themselves big bonuses (and employees too but I mean.. lets be honest)
total war of attrition just to make property prices rise by 65% instead of 70%
Vancouver, BC, Federal government?
The funny thing about "dirty cash" and money laundering is that this designation is reserved for AFTER you discover what the origin of the money was AND ALSO have seen it converted into a clean source. The action of converting it into a clean source doesn't make it dirty before hand, hence no money laundering. The onus is on the government. Money laundering itself just being an added on charge to help make an indictment stick, when you can't actually pin the crime to acquire the dirty money on anyone. How much would that cost British Columbia to figure out? Would be the dumbest use of public coffers
