Isn't it a bit weird that all of the criticism is pointed at the state in which a private company made this technology and none of the criticism is pointed at the actual states that bought and used it?

I find such "pragmatic" viewpoints on climate action quite amusing as in defining what is or isn't feasible, they take social and political aspects as hard constraints but nature forces as negotiable.

It's interesting that hipocracy bothers people more than knowingly turning the world into an unlivable hell for short-term profit.

Sincere question: Do you actually believe that eating plants and not eating enough Meat and Dairy is what leads to obesity?
Could you please elaborate on that? Also, I'd love to know what country you are from, if you don't mind me asking :)

Well are you disputing the damage inflicted to the environment by meat consumption, or are you saying you should be allowed to harm the environment with no limitation or consequence whatsoever?

I don't think we can assume meat based diet is better than plant based diet anymore.
And without this assumption the "own good vs. common good" argument doesn't hold. Because in reality, "own good" and "common good" align at a lower consumption of meat. (Ignoring taste, obviously. Meat is delicious!)

Well sure - if nothing matters, it also doesn't matter we consume a lot of animal products and ruin our tiny planet as we used to know it.
If anything does matter, we should reduce our consumption and production of animal based products.

I don't mean to be rude, but I suspect you might have misread the comment you've replied to.

I strongly recommend reading the Bitcoin white paper: https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf It is not as nearly as long and complicated as you would think, if you know the basics (what's a hash, how do public keys and digital signatures work). I found it way clearer than all the explanation articles I've seen on the internet.

I think that the current reward for mining a block is 12.5 Bitcoin (+ transaction fees of course)
