Yep. Looks like it's now called "1for.one". Their CEO has a stock photo on LinkedIn and owned a mining corp.

Same here, on a current-gen MBP.
Re:Almost 80% of Private Day Traders Lose Money on Monday August 22, 2016 @11:17AM (#12336906)
I'm curious - If you don't mind sharing, how long have you been day trading and what has your percentage return been?

Re:Show HN: Penny, an easy way to track your spending on Thursday January 07, 2016 @11:57AM (#10859046)
"Where did my money go" budgeting has never worked for me. I've been way more successful with planning ahead every $ of income as I get it and then manually tracking expenses. Budgeting had to become an actual activity for me, and not just something done automatically by a webapp. I'm a huge shill for YNAB[0]. The software is really nice but basically it's a glorified (paid) spreadsheet. My fiance and I agree that the methodology it forces you to use, though, has easily saved us thousands so far.

Re:Browserify vs. Webpack – Configuration isn't evil on Monday July 27, 2015 @11:11AM (#9955613)
It's like watching a primitive civilization independently re-invent the modern world's technology. This poses ethical questions. Should we have intervened and told them about Maven, when we see them still struggling with their version of Ant?
Re:Ask HN: How to talk smart? on Sunday May 10, 2015 @11:28PM (#9522540)
Hm, as a professional spy, I don't know... it just comes naturally.
Re:Video game execution watched by 325K players on Sunday May 10, 2015 @03:45AM (#9519228)
Yes, and that is why I've forwarded this video to Human Rights Watch.
Re:Typedrummer on Sunday May 10, 2015 @03:10AM (#9519155)
Someone needs to combine this with a melody sequencer that maps ascii <-> pentatonic scale notes or something.
Re:Implementing a Virtual Machine in C on Sunday May 10, 2015 @02:22AM (#9519069)
For a project that goes a bit deeper (branching, i/o, etc) consider writing a Chip8 simulator. There's lots of games written in chip8 bytecode to test with!

Re:On Haskell, Ruby, and Cards Against Humanity on Monday April 27, 2015 @11:58AM (#9447113)
I think that's exactly it. We use js so we can unite against a common enemy & build solidarity among the team :-)
Re:On Haskell, Ruby, and Cards Against Humanity on Monday April 27, 2015 @11:44AM (#9447008)
Ah! I had this same(-ish) idea but couldn't figure out how to write it. And when I realized how much time I was spending on Fizz Buzz forced myself to stop.
Just take a spirit journey like Erlich on silicon valley.

Re:How Betty, Who Is 89, Gets Her News on Wednesday March 11, 2015 @03:51PM (#9186628)
I'd say I'm pretty decent at not accidentally clicking banner ads. But for some reason I've been redirected to the Uber app installation page a dozen times when I was just trying to scroll through text (on the same sites). Either I have some adware or uber is paying to js/meta-redirect me.
Re:This page crashes my chrome tab on Sunday March 08, 2015 @05:24PM (#9167338)

Come on, no need to compare programmer hygiene to that of dogs... you'll upset some dogs :-P
Re:Ask HN: How do your enterprise customers pay you? on Thursday February 19, 2015 @02:43PM (#9076450)
Bitcoin, overwhelmingly.
Re:WEB DEVELOPER (DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES) on Tuesday February 17, 2015 @12:09PM (#9063434)
Damn! I was going to apply to this but I only have experience with GoDaddy and BlueHost, but not HostGator. I'll have to take my Prolog experience elsewhere.
Painfully unfunny.

Re:Be My Eyes – Lend your eyes to the blind on Thursday January 15, 2015 @12:46PM (#8894030)
The small heading "Blind Requests Assistance" should probably be rephrased. You don't wanna use a disability as a noun like that.
Re:Speaking While Female on Monday January 12, 2015 @02:54PM (#8876013)
It makes you much more popular with the majority, sadly.
Re:Show HN: Add a custom cursor to improve your UX on Monday January 12, 2015 @02:32PM (#8875891)
HN is unable to identify jokes.
When I was learning web development, it was such a PITA learning rails and dealing with all the ops stuff at the same time (so I could show friends my stuff, on a real domain and everything). I envy the kiddos that can just hit the "deploy to azure" button or whatever now. (This reads like an ad for microsoft but I promise I don't work there :)
Re:Don't soak your dried beans on Friday January 09, 2015 @01:38PM (#8863584)
> Only most restaurants and chefs are totally oblivious to this fact

For some reason I find this hard to believe.

Palantir?
Re:DMCA Copyright Complaint to Google on Tuesday January 06, 2015 @11:58PM (#8848968)
Wow, I'm not familiar with this film studio, but this is a terrible move on their part. I don't go to the movies much anyway, but I'm gonna try to avoid paying for any of their films, and I urge everyone who cares about an open internet to do the same.
