The largest pumped storage facility in the world is in the us.

It's also pretty old.

"USA should look into thing it practically invented" good meme

The British system which Canada basically copied is entirely designed to prevent real democracy.
Liberals NDP Greens Conservative

Liberals NDP and Greens would never form a government with the Conservatives so the liberals are effectively always in power.

Which means insiders in the liberal party are in charge and voting is partly irrelevant unless you're voting for the conservatives, but they would need an actual straight majority.

There are no primaries in Canada at all.

Parties select their representatives who run in the election.

The system basically guarantees that insiders cannot be removed.

Remove PGE from the numbers and I bet it's a lot closer.

"Of course they were also correct"

That's the important part here, touch grass.

security guards vs FSB.

uh huh

The tweet doesn't say that ledger installed the chip.

This is some D grade trash writing.

For the low low price of unlimited liability.

High probability the NSA has satellites intercepting cellular radio traffic world wide with triangulation.

Pocket backdoors.

JWT is complicated.

Complexity is a spec failure in security issues.

It's that simple.

Try 10-20 million USD for a zero click iPhone exploit.
Re:Prompting Claude Opus 5.5 on Monday September 28, 2026 @10:30AM (#49878615)
Don't use opus 5.5 at high. Medium is about as good as 5.0 was at high.
Short in person quizzes frequently.

They don't even have to be a significant part of the rubric.

Just ensure the students know what they don't know.

HBM is less dense at a water scale than DDR because of all the vias, but each memory but is as dense or denser.

You make HBM instead of DDR and the number of bits you're making goes down.

It's really that simple.

The vias to enable stacking is a significant amount of the die area.

US activities in Greenland have always been about strategic defense.

This latest enterprise likely has to do with a strategic missile defense system.

Re:I don't like passkeys on Friday September 18, 2026 @10:28AM (#49754931)
Passkeys are mostly useless because of that.

Their security is nearly universally undermined by reset mechanisms.

There are virtually no sites where passkeys cannot be bypassed.

Re:GLM Built Its Own Inference Infrastructure on Thursday September 17, 2026 @07:19AM (#49739165)
That's easy to do with many agents independently told to find bugs in a large codebase.

> Weirdly phrased since when you have a full, real nuclear plant you need to be ready to deal with that tripping off the grid suddenly, because it happens regularly.

It does not, what is with solar proponents and lying?

This is for registering an account that can then send many many messages.
Re:216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video] on Monday September 07, 2026 @09:45PM (#49604801)
The average person's house has a gateway/router/wifi thing from their ISP, a smart tv connected to the internet with microphones, and one of those iptv piracy boxes that's actually the source of all the residential proxy ips.

Convenience over all else is what 99% of people are doing.

Noting actually says those ports have to be for management.

Most people probably would use them for something else.

These are non immigrant work visas.

So maybe just don't engage in immigration fraud?
