Re:NCAA cancels March Madness and other championships on Thursday March 12, 2020 @05:17PM (#22561840)
Whoever came up with the term “student athlete” when talking about slaves in college is a genius!

I like to think if that term never existed then maybe society wouldn’t let universities exploit them for millions of dollars while paying them nothing.

I can see them not having fans at the races, but Nascar drivers and pit crews seem like they are at a lot less risk compared to basketball players.

I would actually think this would be a great time for Nascar to capitalize on other sports being suspended.

Doesn’t seem logical. Why protect someone with such a weak immune system so they can pass it on to the next generation? That makes society weaker.
Ah so people should have free will taken away.
Anecdotal evidence is horrible. I’ve heard people in their 60’s say the same thing.

LMAO! The whole legal system is there to screw over the poor and allow the rich to do what they please.
Re:Intuit to buy Credit Karma for $7B on Monday February 24, 2020 @03:06PM (#22407868)
They spends a bunch of money making taxes harder so we depend on them. Then they buy out all their competitors. Intuit is a shit company. The government needs to step in and break that up.
Is this a link to someone’s blog? I’m not sure why this belongs here
America! Where you don’t have rights just obligations to the government and the corporations it serves.
The FBI does that.
Re:Why the N.Y.P.D. Subpoenaed a Reporter’s Twitter Feed on Monday February 17, 2020 @07:34PM (#22352361)
I am shocked that police would act like that!
Re:The Nuclear Family Was a Mistake on Monday February 10, 2020 @03:49PM (#22293134)
It seems like the author had an idea, then looked for anything that could help support the idea. The problem is the person only looks at the facts through their original idea.
Re:After a livestreamed suicide, TikTok waited to call police on Friday February 07, 2020 @09:36PM (#22273416)
That doesn’t make sense. The person on the phone you most likely know where they live. If you are on an 800 number how do you contact the correct authorities? A public account on tiktok can’t tell you who to call... unless it has a video of ghostbusters, but that won’t help.
Seems more like an ad than an article.
