I was just having this discussion with my wife. I was under the impression that using the dryer to dry clothes is what causes items to shrink. Does the water temperature in the wash make a difference too if you hang dry?

That's what got me too! At first I was picturing a solid piece of iron, floating in the sky, but I'm assuming it's more like a cloud here on earth, except formed by iron vapor instead of water vapor.

What kind of effects might this have on modern passenger aircraft? Specifically the digital fly-by-wire.
After seeing how poorly the US government handled the Covid response I hope I don't have to experience a major solar event such as the one described in the article.

Why the downvotes? The point is legitimate. Not everyone would be able to afford to pay for something like this.

From what I've read the transition from Clinton to Bush was shortened due to the issues of the recount in Florida. I don't think any fair-minded individual would argue that the circumstances are similar for the 2020 election.

We absolutely lost (and I'm reading this as the US lost the war). There's no question about it.
I'm more curious as to how you can reason that Trump and/or the GOP would not be so vindictive? If Trump had any interest in what's best for the country and its citizens his administration would not be hindering the transition to the new administration. Something similar can be said for the GOP.

As much as I want these wars to end, they should leave it to the Biden administration to figure it out. I'm concerned this is GOP strategy simply trying to gum up the works and cause headaches for the Democrats. Anything they can do to obstruct and then use that to rally uninformed voters in the midterms in 2022 and the next presidential election.

True, and I had not considered that. I like the idea of growing more trees though.

Couldn't you bury the plants, the same as trees, sequestering the carbon underground?

Taking in mind absorption rate by plants, I wonder if you could do a controlled release in somewhere like a rainforest such that a minimal amount would make it back into the atmosphere and a majority would be taken in by trees and plants. Alternatively build large green houses and vertical farms and pump it directly into there.

Heinz and Whataburger (a fast food chain popular in and around Texas) ketchup have always been my favorite. There was another brand I eventually came across which was very close - I believe it was Cucina Antica. I'm curious if others would agree.
