Re:How should approach learning DevOps (AWS)? on Saturday August 22, 2020 @11:05PM (#24249199)
Docker is good. Jenkins is a must. Start with AWS Certified Developer and then take the AWS DevOps Engineering. Next I would take on Kubernetes. I would also learn Ansible and Terraform. When you finish with the ELK stack, you have some basics.

Re:Ask HN: Do you want an self-driving car? on Thursday April 23, 2015 @03:21PM (#9429173)
Have you been driving recently, with all these idiots (excuse my French) on the streets? Of course I would want all of us a self-driving car. We would be so much safer.
Re:What would be your #1 bug to fix email spec? on Friday July 25, 2014 @10:52AM (#8085488)

Re:So, is this me? or is this icon sexist? you decide. on Tuesday April 29, 2014 @10:58AM (#7667386)
As the French would say: vive la différence.

But joking aside, classification can be healthy and helps us to orient ourselves. It is one of the basics of learning. If issues arise on types one has to allow the question, what is the issue and who actually has it. Do we no longer value qualities like female or male, ladies and gentlemen?

Tools and language change quickly. Engineering basics and methodologies remain. You might not like my advice, but reconsider your decision and show that you have the discipline and endurance to finish things, even or especially if they don't appeal to you all the way.
Not a win for the consumer: these double and triple shaving blades are more expensive than ever.
Re:Ask HN: What is the best way to save links for later? on Friday October 18, 2013 @12:29PM (#6572235)
I use Readability "Read later" a lot. Plug-ins for almost any browser.
