Can't tell if satire or insane
Re:Amazon pushes up prices across the Internet on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @09:25AM (#50166058)
"Yes, because “free” market deregulation has worked out so well for consumers over the last 30 years."

Yes?

Re:GPT 6.1 Sol: Near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @09:19AM (#49908563)
Safe to assume you are actually shorting the market and not just mindlessly babbling about the impending explosion?
Re:California is chasing wealth that has feet on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @05:35AM (#49890467)
This is just begging the question. The "cooperative will of people" is nothing but a catchphrase invented to justify government power. You are just saying that a government owns whatever it claims, and then moralizing about "the town's well-being".

"I don't care about your ethical reasoning" is a good summary of your reply.

Re:California is chasing wealth that has feet on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @05:26AM (#49890397)
That's not "only right" at all. Why would "society" (AKA the government) deserve the excess value and not Disneyland, who DID do something to increase the value of the land?
Re:Italian parliament votes for return to nuclear energy on Thursday September 24, 2026 @08:48AM (#49829862)
Finally, someone with common sense. Nuclear is bad BECAUSE it produces lots of cheap energy. We DON'T WANT this. More energy = more capitalism = evil.

DEGROWTH NOW!

Re:Bill to Ban Private Equity from Owning Medical Practices on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @09:43AM (#49816072)
An overregulated market is experiencing centralization? Who could have predicted this? We need to pass 20 more regulations to fix it.
Re:Bill to Ban Private Equity from Owning Medical Practices on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @09:42AM (#49816047)
"because the profit is the service which is being provided" What does this mean? Are you saying healthcare has positive externalities and hence should be subsidised? I don't think this is true, since the positive externalities are dwarfed by the benefits the individual consumer gets.

This reads like it was written by a 2022 LLM trained on 2024 Reddit
Re:Why don't machine learning research agents overfit? on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @08:21AM (#49711454)
How is the Kolmogorov definition not arbitrary? It depends on an arbitrary selection of the language you use to write the program.
Re:An ongoing 3D-printer AGPL violation on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @11:00AM (#49522881)
Not really. What copyright violations is the AI industry "built upon"?
Re:GUIs should be fully keyboard-driven on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @04:52AM (#49519595)
"democracy, per se, includes minority protections (i. e. if it doesn't then it isn't a democracy to begin with)."

Does anyone believe this?

Re:U.S. Sanctions Against the a/I Collective on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @04:45AM (#49519550)
"likely" here meaning "around a 1% chance"
You're acting as if politics AKA overregulation (first person to say "You think nuclear should be unregulated???" gets a medal) has had no effect on the price of nuclear energy.
"Insurance is a scam that lets the rich get richer. All insurance should be non-profit." Such empty platitudes never made for a good argument.
Re:Where Human Sleep Went Wrong on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @05:31AM (#49359124)
This is a contentious theory with little actual historical backing. Most likely people have been sleeping in one block since forever.
