People are but criminals are less likely to do so. Without the money laundering usecase crypto is in for another winter.
Re:The case of the 9 bit AES key on Friday October 30, 2026 @03:30AM (#50300791)
And how does this disprove their point? I don’t think its the lines of code you write that allow you to decide whether or not you should roll your own crypto…
Isn’t writing Go for embedded systems kinda like eating soup with a fork tho? This language was designed to write multithreaded asynchronous code to power microservice meshes.
Imo if you’re reprompting you’re losing. If the agent oneshots the task its good but if it doesn’t manage it on the first try you will get there faster by doing it yourself.

They run an LLM to summarize every search query for free and still turn more profit than ever?
> Because the US could literally destroy the ICC without any repercussions aside from some reflexive gasps from European globalists.

Similar to how the US literally destroyed the dictatorship in Iran?

The average American doesn’t understand growth, you can see it in who they vote for.
Re:Sharing AI progress in mathematics on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @02:44AM (#49989183)
If they’re mathematicians they have written this name down about a 100 different times throughout a standard Real Analysis course. Riemann was foundational in that field.
Re:AI needs $6T in annual revenue to justify data centre boom on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @01:27AM (#49904712)
Less time on sick leave would be measurable…
Re:Pion, an agent designed to run any company autonomously on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @02:57AM (#49708756)
You are absolutely right :)
Re:Pion, an agent designed to run any company autonomously on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @01:17AM (#49708029)
I don’t think this is true at all. Maybe if you have an agent writing some of your code it will be 99% because its so verbose but I don’t think the modal software engineer is a vibecoder.
Most of this is googleable but there are thousands of traders that make sure the gold price is the same globally so nobody had to “move” their gold in the reverse for this trade to work.

The difference between London and the US is that the bars are of different size (12.5 vs 1kg).

Re:How to Read More Books on Sunday July 12, 2026 @01:50PM (#48882980)
An easy trick nowadays is to simply log out of the accounts. Most social media websites really want you to log in so they become unusable when you log out. Its a good defense in depth strategy.
Its also an interesting way to discover what that part of the brain is for, right.
The US doesn’t have this leverage either, Trump is just uniquely willing to hurt his own country for his own idiosyncrasies. It is pretty established at this point that Americans were the most hurt by his tariffs.

Their options are probably insane sunk cost, hard to steal an engineer who has Xm in potential gains if they choose to stay.
DMA is killing innovation by, checks notes, not allowing Apple to lock out competitor products from competing on an even playing field?
> homogenous population

Not even gonna comment on this nonsense.

Its honestly so annoying, every 3 years we have to vote against the same garbage proposal because the SVP is unwilling to accept the will of the electorate.
Immigration is being controlled, EU immigrants require a work contract to come here (and consequentially 80% are employed with the rest split between spouses, kids and students). I strongly prefer this system over having some random bureaucrat in Berne decide who is "valuable" and who isn't.
It is a population cap, you can read this proposal its like 5 lines of text.
> more people with certain skills (if you're filtering based on that)

This is how freedom of movement works, yes, and it's a key reason why our country is so rich.

I can sell the tomatoes in my garden for twice the price of those in the supermarket and still make massive loses.
> the research doesn't mention anything about the socioeconomic environment in which each of the children grew in.

The main trick behind randomized control trials is that you can disregard factors like this because these effects would be randomly distributed as well.

SpaceX needs 4 profitable consecutive quarters to be included. If you have a lot of faith that they will achieve this I recommend you buy day 1 so you can ride the highs when the passive money eventually pours in.

Re:SQLite is all you need for durable workflows on Friday May 29, 2026 @02:22PM (#48327215)
S3 is strongly consistent, if you need it anyways you can just use s3 keys to deconflict and store the workflow state.
Re:Just Use Postgres for Durable Workflows on Thursday May 28, 2026 @04:07PM (#48314686)
Advisory locks are preferred for this anyways because holding a lot of SELECT FOR UPDATE doesn’t scale too well.
You’re going to need to strongly source this one, sounds completely made up.
Re:Railway Blocked by Google Cloud on Wednesday May 20, 2026 @02:58AM (#48204090)
Is it really a false positive if railway lets people run abusive services on GCP and then GCP consequently shuts them down?
