If China has not fought a war in 50 years, how do they have experienced generals? There is no evidence Xi is an incompetent madman.
Micron's FQ1 2026 report says they expect their 1-gamma process (uses EUV) to the be the majority of their bit output by the second half of the year. The same report says they've already begun sampling 1-gamma parts to OEMs, so they must have a fab somewhere using EUV already.

It's more likely his mother borrowed money from other people and he paid her debts.
Not sure why this comment was dead when it contains an interesting perspective.
I vouched for this comment because it sparked an interesting discussion chain on candidate vs. third party spending.

"What if smart boards were actually good, could use the whole room, and track arbitrary physical objects?"

combined with

"What if you could create/edit a computer program like you rearrange furniture in a room?"

appears to be the sales pitch.

I would recommend watching the video though because there are few more pieces to it such as how it is programmed, etc.

If my math is right, the Abrams has a tighter turning radius than a Miata due to how its steering works. The Miata is around 15ft while an Abrams turning would inscribe a circle with a radius of 14ft.

The post claims PSRAM is supported.

Re:We need visual programming. No, not like that on Monday July 15, 2024 @01:58AM (#40965601)
Have you used the QP framework (https://www.state-machine.com/)? It supports UML hierarchal state machines with code generation. One embedded dev I know shipped a couple products with it and still likes it.
>TerraPower’s investors and development partners, including Bechtel, GE Hitachi, PacifiCorp, and Berkshire Hathaway.

For people not familiar, PacifiCorp is majority owned by Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett). They operate many coal-fired power plants in the region including near Kemmerer where the new TerraPower facility is. I see this as a positive sign for the success of the project.

A functional government has a monopoly on violence. Funding public sector R&D is tax money well spent, but it's still monopoly money.
DRAM/NAND processes are optimized for different things than logic, so there isn't much cross application. My understanding is that it would be hard to make a general compute chip with a DRAM process due to a low number of metal layers, transistor types, etc. Micron [1] and Samsung have both investigated doing massively parallel compute in the memory cell, but the technology never panned out.

Regarding EUV, according to Micron's most recent quarterly report (March 20th) [2]

"We continue to mature our production capability with extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV), and have achieved equivalent yield and quality on our 1α as well as 1ß nodes between EUV and non-EUV flows. We have begun 1γ (1-gamma) DRAM pilot production using EUV and are on track for volume production in calendar 2025."

I vouched for this post because it talks about the Telegram issue and the more general idea of the role of citizen open source intellegence gathering which I think is an interesting and relevant topic.
This was a really well done article.
I like collecting examples that confirm/deny my biases. Would you mind sharing the demographic differences between the two schools?
https://archive.is/qTw8d The article mentions numerous times that politicians are turning to defamation suits, but isn't it just rich people continuing to use the court process as a punishment?

On two-lane roads, it is much safer for everyone involved for the pass to occur with high accelleration.
If you don't mind sharing, how does Premium income compare to say Patreon?
>reasonable baseline

>significantly above average

I don't mean this in a confrontational way, but I am curious how you establish what a reasonable baseline is.

My understanding is that PID does not work as well for Mulitple Input Multiple Output systems compared with "modern control theory." See the "Analysis techniques - frequency domain and time domain" and "Classical SISO System Design" sections of below Wikipedia article.

Do you have any more information on "lightweight effective documentation"? I never seen it work in practice. If there is a method thay has worked for you I would be keen to hear.

I looked into something similar. If the photo only needs to be somewhat recent I would recommend plane photography. My state does a yearly plane survey, so I used that. If you know anyone in geotech or environmental engineering, they can probably point you in the right direction.

I'm not sure why this comment is dead. I certainly would prefer that West Virginia get some economic activity besides destroying their mountains for coal better left in the ground.

Thanks for posting the interview with Shadi Saleh. I found it interesting they were able to mitigate sanctions by using FOSS software. I wish Saleh had gone into more depth on the hardware side of things which I imagine is also complicated by sanctions.
Interesting to see how heavily Sam Bankman-Fried dontated in the recent midterm elections in the USA. He might run out of runway before those investments pay off.
