This is a nice initiative. I will be trying the markdown editor.
Re:Geek Fighter – 2d fighter game on Saturday August 15, 2026 @06:29PM (#49314887)
Now, this is fun! I am playing Mark any given day. Let's see where this goes.
Google+ couldn't handle spams. Inbox was an excellent execution. one needed the tech that made Gmail, and the other couldn't co-exist with Gmail? we will never truly know.
Re:A better agent skills manager on Wednesday March 11, 2026 @11:51PM (#47346233)
This is an excellent idea and a great execution. I am seeing similar divergence in how custom agents are defined. A tool for managing custom agents is needed right now.
Re:Show HN: ANSI-Saver – A macOS Screensaver on Saturday March 07, 2026 @09:45PM (#47293853)
Thank you so much for building this. The larger demoscene art community needs something like this. Also, as someone suggested, maybe a starter default art pack would be awesome.
Re:Googleworkspace/CLI on Wednesday March 04, 2026 @08:55PM (#47256518)
This is a very interesting way of building agent skills. Seems like the imperative way of orchestration/automation is making a comeback.
Re:uBlock filter list to hide all YouTube Shorts on Saturday February 14, 2026 @10:16PM (#47020708)
yep, can confirm. we pay for the service, we use an ad-blocker and we are the ones affected. oh the irony... i now have ublock disabled for youtube.
This is very nice!
Re:Alma, Elegant AI Provider Orchestration on Friday December 19, 2025 @10:27PM (#46333405)
This is a wonderful idea. I couldn't get Gemini CLI to work, but I understand that ACP integration is still experimental. This is close to the UI I wanted for agents because I find CLIs are very limited.
Re:If you witness a cardiac arrest, here's what to do on Sunday March 09, 2025 @10:05PM (#43316270)
thank you!

very impressed with the images generated by the model. great work!
Re:Ghostty 1.0 on Friday December 27, 2024 @10:04AM (#42522614)
thank you and the community for the work. i hope to see blocks (not sure if this is a shell thing or a terminal thing) the same way warp does it :)
indeed.

i thought i didn't have any phobia until i had a single experience with an MRI machine with no sedation. i came out with mild claustrophobia that only time has been healing.

Re:Azure DevOps is down globally on Thursday July 18, 2024 @08:53PM (#41001159)
very surprised by all the infrastructure hosted in us central. the page claims codespaces is functional but it clearly is not. it fails at loading vscode after bootstrapping the environment.
not sure how to use this app.
Scratchapixel and Rougier's Python OpenGL (https://github.com/rougier/python-opengl) are two books that i want to see completed one day...
Re:Show HN: Query Your Sheets with SheetSQL on Wednesday March 13, 2024 @08:58AM (#39690815)

imagine that!

Re:Untranslatable on Friday January 26, 2024 @12:21PM (#39145097)
saw the expression "que sopa?" and thought about all the verlan french rappers brought into the french language. most of them will never make it into the french dictionary.
Re:Everything Is a File on Wednesday January 24, 2024 @07:00PM (#39124373)
powershell wanted to expose input and output as objects. liked the concept. the execution could have been better though.
Re:Netflix adds 13.1M subscribers, tops revenue estimates on Tuesday January 23, 2024 @11:27PM (#39113613)
amen.

one of the worst apps on apple tv. it got to the point i don’t even try to like videos. or rewind them. or do anything while they are playing lest i cause a restart. buffering. a random video to start playing, etc.

Re:Can an AI Compose Music? on Monday January 22, 2024 @01:46PM (#39093529)
yes, i am sure AI can compose music in the near future. a lot of folks are pessimistic on this one, but i can see the possibility. if we define music (as i do) as storytelling and musicians as storytellers, then we need to teach AI how to tell stories with music instruments.

but that's not the direction i have seen the research take.

Re:Delivery firm chatbot disabled after swearing at customers on Saturday January 20, 2024 @03:20PM (#39071869)
ridiculous, overblown, and not much to see. just a typical prompt engineering.
Re:Ask HN: Are many user interfaces deliberately bad? on Tuesday January 16, 2024 @05:04PM (#39019797)
beside the dark patterns mentioned in other comments, we have been conditioned to accept modern interfaces as being always right. we blame ourselves for not understanding them and they shame us for not understanding them.

that for me only exacerbates the problem.

Re:Watch Free Online Documentaries on Monday January 15, 2024 @07:08PM (#39007771)
i mean GP is right. what's the point of a media sharing website that can't sustain the traffic?
Re:Tiny Compiler – Writing a Compiler in a Weekend on Friday January 12, 2024 @07:22PM (#38976006)
the tinyrenderer[1] project has been on my todos forever now. glad to see the author is writing more self-paced programming projects.
