Could it be that the huggingface export mentioned at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50320784 is out of date?

I wonder how much time he spent on the video relative to the other stuff

You said it was dead. How could there be any fix?

Did you just make that one up? It's pretty good!

Not simply for failing though. Obviously there were other factors.
Re:"Apple engineer" builds GitHub AI torture chamber to inflict "pain"...
on Friday October 02, 2026 @04:54PM (#49938504)
That assumes that torture is something that is only done to an object, but it also has effects, probably strong ones, on the torturer. In that sense, torturing a rock, or an AI, could be a real thing.

That's like publishing Hamlet (2010), King Lear (2017), and Thus Spake Zarathustra (2022). I wonder what her thought process is in choosing these titles? And what will her next work be?

Re:Palantir Wants to Reinstate the Draft
on Monday April 20, 2026 @02:42PM (#47838736)
Whatever its other merits or demerits, reinstating the draft would cut back on needless wars. Abandoning the draft is what ended the anti-war movement as a social force, and to reinstate it would be to invite popular protest on that scale again. For this reason, if nothing else, it probably won't be reinstated.
What this has to do with the argument Palantir is apparently making, I have no idea. I can't make any sense of it.

This doggerel is every bit as propagandistic as what it opposes, and has nothing in common with Owen's poem of unbearably real experience.

The gas victim scene is harrowing. But what haunts me even more is the men without boots, marching with bloody feet.
