There must be some distinction since Sivers says announcing your goals makes you less likely to accomplish them.

It's been awhile but their alleged fillers probably make it healthier than it would be otherwise.

I've had a couple Chik'n products and the beef crumble from Quorn and so far it's been the best substitute as far as flavor/texture combination. Making spaghetti with meat sauce was actually a little hard to tell the difference. I think the only turn off is that it barely seems to be made out of food.

I've had Beyond Meat chicken. The texture is close but not nearly as close as the article makes it out to be. Some of the flavors are good up front, but sometimes it tastes like something close to playdough.
I hope to find a job that will let me work this schedule some day. As long as those extra two hours were as if everyone else in the office had already left so I wouldn't be interrupted.
Re:People's happiness at work usually dips mid career on Thursday July 10, 2014 @09:38PM (#8018450)
I'm 28 and I was relieved to read that things may be at their best at ages 40-60. I haven't done anything notable but I'm still learning every day so maybe it will click eventually. At the same time I'm trying to save like I might be unemployable in my 40s.
Huh, seems to be working now. Maybe it was a poor connection.
Maybe I'm missing something but this game didn't work at all for me in Firefox

This seemed pretty relaxing, although I think it'd be even better with an animated image or video clip
Re:Show HN: Napwell – We Want to Help You Sleep Better on Tuesday July 01, 2014 @04:07PM (#7973179)
This is my situation as well. I can't just decide to go take a nap, and when I do nap it's sort of spontaneous while I'm watching sports or reading a book. My wife on the other hand can pretty much just choose to go to sleep.

This is one of the most interesting things I've ever seen.
Re:Kids can't use computers, and why it should worry you on Friday August 09, 2013 @01:56PM (#6187159)
The difference I see here is I don't think there's some sort of prevailing idea that young people all know how to fix their cars, like there is that they know how to use a computer.
Re:Los Angeles in 2013 as Predicted in 1988 on Saturday March 16, 2013 @10:13AM (#5385448)
I often think of things the opposite way. As I grew up I always thought everything had only worked the way it did since the time I was born, and then I'm surprised to find out that it was working that way for 10+ years before that.
Re:Ding Dong, Daily Deals Are Dead on Tuesday August 14, 2012 @08:03PM (#4383717)
I wonder how many people, like myself, decided to stop buying Groupons (and similar products) because of the awareness that it was generally bad for the business for which it was being used. I would rather support my local businesses than save $10 or $15 and feed the monster.
Re:How to Write a Malcolm Gladwell Book on Sunday August 05, 2012 @02:18PM (#4342126)
Thanks for posting this. I was amused by the other conversations going on here, but this actually changed my mind about him.
Re:The worst project I ever funded on Kickstarter on Monday January 16, 2012 @09:27PM (#3473507)
Just more lessons on what not to do when raising funds. It's not even so much what he said, but his "tone."
Re:How to nap on Tuesday January 10, 2012 @05:21PM (#3449384)
This whole time, I thought I had a sleeping problem because I couldn't fall asleep until after 12:30 a.m. or 1 a.m. and I would get irritable and tired from 3-6 p.m. Now if only that didn't clash with my work hours.
