Gmail's spam filter has gotten noticeably worse in the last two months. I'm half-convinced they threw away whatever they used to be doing and just put Gemini in the loop.

SpaceX claimed a TAM of $28.5 trillion in their S1, a number picked from a hat larger than the 2023 US GDP. Companies can and do lie in their S1 and there are rarely if ever any consequences for doing so.

Selling subscription productivity tools is a business that has existed for decades if not centuries. Just because their product is new does not mean their business is.

The best AI products have a userbase of one. The average AI product has a userbase of zero.
Is there a need? Or a want?
People? Or corporations?
There are also a lot of bad technologies that start off being called a toy and then just die. Many more, I'd wager.

And their company's leadership is famous for compulsively lying. Pardon me if I suspect they might be arriving at that number using creative math.

Has generative AI made material progress on curing cancer? Has it produced any breakthroughs, at all?
This already exists, but you have the markets backwards. Microsoft wants to force the cruft onto everyday users; it subsidizes the cost of the operating system license. Home users can be conned into paying for OneDrive or Copilot subscriptions much more easily than enterprises can. On the other side, Windows Server is their lightweight version, and it's made for the only customer that Microsoft respects: ones that paid in full upfront.

They massively over-estimated demand [1] and produced tens if not hundreds of thousands of units that didn't sell. This is them trying to liquidate their inventory of components.

There is a distinction between "vehicle for a large volume of speculation" and "valuable". Cryptocurrency has not created any "value".

I've found a much easier solution to this problem.

1. Those are revenue statistics. I am asking for you to provide data to support the claim “users are finding utility from the Metaverse”, not the claim “Meta is generating revenue from the Quest Marketplace.” Those are different claims.

2. Is it your assertion that all content offered on the Quest Marketplace is “the Metaverse?” Is the top paid application “Beat Saber” a Metaverse app?

3. The source of your statistics is Meta, a company famous for repeatedly falsifying platform usage metrics [1].
