Very useful, thanks! Is access to financial statements implied? what about requiring audited financials? or is that not common/expense at that stage?

I would hope this only applies to the Union's ability to call a strike, not an individuals right to call in sick?
hmm maybe i should switch to a 1900 number

Check out Rob Walling. He's got some podcasts and grown to some conferences now, but i keep going back to his book: Start Small, Stay Small: A Developer's Guide to Launching a Startup

Edit: just looked it up but see also Rob's new project TinySeed.com: The First Startup Accelerator Designed for Bootstrappers.

I'd say they cant produce a low enough signature with the nacelles on the bottom as currently displayed. see all aircraft in this nasa clip from April 2018.

you cant just mix the two materials gradually like the mystery flavors? https://youtu.be/xUpGTvPrCG8?t=203
this is an issue in real estate transactions as well, where a client or law firm executed fraudulent wire instructions received via spoofed email.

wow, interesting investigation. reminds me of this scene from the movie Innerspace https://youtu.be/hnj0lYvWYHo?t=133
Reminds me of one of my favorite books titled:

Decoding the Universe: How the New Science of Information Is Explaining Everything in the Cosmos, from Our Brains to Black Holes, by Charles Seife

One item discussed in the book that we as humans may just be a transport method for the data within DNA to survive time. Because without some replication it would get trapped and cease to exist.

note too a replay solution could have infinite steps to have to reproduce, assuming its not optimized to take any shortcuts to jump to a re-occurring state.
My mouse makes 2 click sounds actually, once on the down press and once on the release. We've all been double clicking this whole time!
so keydown() instead of keyup()? Dragging my already-depressed-cursor off the button is my only out, you cant take that one away from me!

if i can access the tweets via twitter without logging in, how can someone block me?
what about the one-in-a-million events that pilots continuously train for? Is one million flights a large enough sample?
i cant wait to see the testing videos here. think Boston Dynamics kicking their machine and pushing them downstairs. There better be billions of dollars in destroyed airframes ahead of any human cargo.

Re:Insured, but Still Owing $109K for a Heart Attack on Tuesday August 28, 2018 @05:50PM (#17863230)
I don't have all the answers, but here's where i'd start:

https://gist.github.com/ndarville/4295324

I'd start with a mentally forced mashup for each to get a few that might work. e.g. "If i've got to make money by lead generation with a medical bill review service/app, how could i do it?"

Then i'd focus on how we'd drive value to the consumers.

Then think about driving value to others parties who may be willing to pay for something similar.

ie would pharmaceutical and medical device companies be willing to communicate directly with these consumers?

note i'm not saying its easy by any means, but i do think its a real problem that could take off if an elegant and worthwhile solution came about.

sounds like an opportunity....
"Unlike Apple, which only allows apps to be downloaded from its own storefront"

So as i read it, the argument being made is: if Google had chosen the same path as apple did in their app store, Google would not have missed this opportunity.

Thinking about making this an algorithm, are we forced to use recursion?

Re:How scammers get away with fraud on Monday July 09, 2018 @10:43AM (#17490495)
see eCommerce Fraud Prevention. There are a few companies focused on this space to protect merchants from fraudulent chargebacks. But in short, you can get pretty complex with multiple vendors being leveraged, but the economics of fraud vs fraud prevention really depends on your business.

i agree that data is a liability, however even my plumber's truck can kill someone and can be considered a liability. regardless, the truck is not something he can do business without. I agree that companies should fear the data they retain much more than they do today.

forgive my shock but are you saying there is one single private key out there that unlocks 1.8B USD?

edit: nvm you linked it second. that seems insanely risky to put it all in one address, right?

Re:Equifax takes down web page after reports of new hack on Thursday October 12, 2017 @07:03PM (#15462048)
1) stock siezure would kill the market. no one wants to invest in a company if the company stock can get yanked anytime. also, a share of stock is worth what someone will pay me for (ie when i want to convert that stock to cash). who will buy this from me if all of a sudden a bunch of people will take the JG wentworth option and cash out now.

2) i absolutely agree with the insurance companies being on the hook. They alone will drive insurance rates that are through the roof if the company cant prove pen-testing, employee background checks etc... Unfortunately teh key to making insurance company care, is setting a high standard for breach victim payouts. ie if it only ends up costing an average of $0.10 per individual victim, i dont need to insure equifax for that much?
