that's one of the reasons I use bare ones pi agent plus a handful of self made extensions.

There's no question popup, when the LLM wants to ask me something it just asks and waits for my answer as the next prompt.

I think Apple still hasn't patched the broken root certificate on macOS cli tooling, right?

It has been days now.

Re:New iMac with M6 on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @10:21AM (#50259841)
My wife used to mock me for being adamant about 120hz+ monitors, until the day I had her try my 200hz monitor for an entire day.

Her eyes were much less tired at the end of the day.

It's a patched model with less censorship/refusal.

> An abliterated model is an open-weight artificial intelligence (Al) language model that has been modified to remove or reduce its built-in refusal behavior without retraining the entire neural network.

Re:Anthropic S-1 on Monday October 26, 2026 @05:23PM (#50251191)
Both AirBnB and DropBox had a pre-IPO valuation that could 10x and still look possible.

That's not the case with Anthropic unless you assume it becomes the single AI provider world-wide.

You're betting against local models, against all Chinese labs, against OpenAI, against Meta's recent SoTA model and against xAI. Doesn't make sense.

Re:Anthropic S-1 on Monday October 26, 2026 @05:17PM (#50251112)
Since when DeepSeek and Fable cost the same?

Even Kimi K3.1 costs half of Opus 5.5 on openrouter which is the closest indication of cost that we have.

Re:Anthropic S-1 on Monday October 26, 2026 @02:54PM (#50249084)
Not everything needs SOTA (State of the Art).

If you control for cost, not only the gap closed, but it switched already.

DeepSeek 4.1 Flash dominates perf/cost for suitable tasks.

And if you do need SOTA, Kimi 3.1 Pro scores 55 on https://artificialanalysis.ai vs 58 of Opus 5.5. And they were released 1 month appart.

Kimi even outperforms Opus on some tasks because it doesn't downgrade its intelligente on cyber and cryptography workloads or ban you if you use it for LLM research.

So the gap is 1 month, or zero, depending on your needs.

Have you tried DeepSeek 4.1 Flash Pro? Should be cents per game. And probably 2x faster turns.
It doesn't reflect their bubble, so it needs to be censored.
I search about vaza jato then I search for less biased sources of his convictions:

Wasn't Lula convicted in 3 levels up to a federal court called STJ?

And then a single federal court judge who never submitted the case to colleagues, simply declared his judgement void based in technicalities?

And then all the investigation restarted from scratch, but since by law he was too old, his crimes prescribed in half the time and he was never investigated again.

The cherry on the top is that this single judge who declared his convictions null was appointed by the felon's political party.

So about a dozen different judges, in municipal, state and federal levels, analysed his multiple charges and declared him guilty in some of them. Then a single federal court judge appointment by the suspect's political party voided all of them.

It's true though, these people exist. There's bias in everyone, but it takes a special kind of arrogant to call a large portion of the population "cattle" because they are in disagreement.
It hasn't been that simple since Google early days, after Altavista.

Content ranking algorithms, specially on social networks, are very complex and usually engineered towards generating engagement.

And it seems to work as intended given the amount of engagement is post.

You can doubt all you want. It's on the record. It was said in national television.
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @10:51AM (#50221840)
Isn't Kimi API 5x cheaper than Opus API?

And it is much more token efficient. There are numbers down in comments of this post.

So most of those points are indeed true. While others look like exaggeration, expected from aggressive marketing campaigns.

Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @03:22AM (#50218989)
it's better than all OpenAI models
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @03:03AM (#50218907)
Are you using same harness/agent on all of them? It makes a huge difference for long running tasks.
Re:C# now beats Rust on WASM size on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @09:02AM (#50180234)
Why wouldn't you specify the tech stack for new applications?

Do you really just ask the model to pick any backend stack and pray it works?

Re:Does Ruby on Rails still make sense? on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @07:55AM (#50179397)
I agree. type checking is game changing for AI development.

And you can't duct tape your way into Ruby type checking and hope to beat the likes of C#, Java, Rust, Go. TypeScript.

Rails (and Ruby) made tradeoffs to please humans. Some of those tradeoffs became downsides now with AI.

For those who are curious, this is what I could gather:

    - Three.js for rendering
    - react 18+ UI built with Vite
    - charts are custom, no libs
    - main bundle size is a js file of 1MB (290KB gziped)
    - No router, no redux/zustand
    - saves using indexedDB + service-worker

How is he able to help more other than telling the truth that phones and tablets can't do what she needs?
Re:Apple broke an essential presentation feature of iPads on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @10:13AM (#50166780)
> because doing new things is hard and hardware has deadlines that software doesn't.

It was nothing new tho. They broke existing software. This is caught by basic software regression test. That's engineering 101.

I don't agree. Because DeepSeek is a few months behind Sota for 1/5 of the price even if you consider open router API prices.

I highly suspect models like Sol would be much more expensive without Chinese competition.

So to a point Sota pricing is already affected depending who you ask. And the tendency is for the gap to tighten.

Just a note: their leaderboard has Gemini Flash 3.6 on #1.

And that model was not top 5 even when it was released, 3 months ago.

Re:MiniMax M3.1 Flash on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @07:13AM (#50164503)
wow, Opus 5 (not 5.5) solar system is broken.

I wouldn't expect that.

But it's probably n=1. Still.

Look around you.

You'll have a hard time finding electronic devices not made in China. And all of them have software which is harder to monitor and debug than LLMs.

So I don't think distrust for Chinese LLMs will hold.

API price rates drop should slow down if open weight models are banned.

Less competition.

Re:MiniMax M3.1 Flash on Monday October 19, 2026 @02:01PM (#50155687)
Some reddit comments say it's not as good as DS 4.1 Flash. But I didn't test myself and I don't trust benchmarks.
