Excellent. Thanks for this!
Re:Show HN: iOS Screen Time from a REST API on Thursday June 05, 2025 @04:25PM (#44195453)
Yep. I love this, but does it require using the Cleaspace app / having a paid subscription?
Re:Show HN: iOS Screen Time from a REST API on Thursday June 05, 2025 @03:33PM (#44194997)
So cool. How does it work?
Re:Ruby Video – On a mission to index all Ruby conferences on Monday December 16, 2024 @08:00PM (#42437261)
Wow this is fantastic. Stealing some ideas from this.
Re:How I write code using Cursor: A review on Tuesday October 29, 2024 @01:01PM (#41986603)
It's the users job to provide the context the LLM needs in plain language instruction. Not just relying on the LLM to magically understand everything based on the codebase.
Re:How I write code using Cursor: A review on Tuesday October 29, 2024 @01:00PM (#41986570)
You can create markdown files containing all the planning you did and Cursor will have all of that as context to give you better suggestions. This type of prompting is what gives amazing results - not just relying on out of the box magic, which I think a lot of people are expecting.
This is what I was thinking too... Still early days I guess lol
Re:Ask HN: What's your favourite hobby and how did it start? on Thursday August 31, 2023 @03:33PM (#37342544)
What does your karaoke software consist of?
This scares the crap out of me. Is there any way to migrate existing subscriptions from Stripe to another provider if you get banned like this?
You have to turn them on in the Options menu.
lol this is a bad take
Re:JavaScript APIs You Don’t Know About on Thursday December 15, 2022 @07:58AM (#33998824)
That's pretty cool.
Re:SvelteKit 1.0 on Wednesday December 14, 2022 @02:14PM (#33988544)
Well after reading the comments in this thread, I'm learning Svelte over the Holidays.

Serato just released Stems, which allows DJs to isolate drums, bassline, vocals in the tracks they are playing live. The algos are getting pretty damn good.

Re:How to communicate (more) effectively as a developer on Friday October 28, 2022 @09:56AM (#33371439)
Seems like a pretty significant opportunity to level up for those willing?
Really love the UI. Nice work!
Re:Web3 is the big idea customers didn’t ask for? on Wednesday June 29, 2022 @11:58AM (#31921990)
But like, who are you to say that it won't get there? If such a large group of very smart people want to continue to work on this tech that they all believe has massive potential, maybe you should consider the possibility that you are wrong?

It's not like Blockchain is the only tech people have been talking about for the last 10 years that hasn't been fully actualized yet. Doesn't mean it's not well on its way.

Re:Web3 is the big idea customers didn’t ask for? on Wednesday June 29, 2022 @11:52AM (#31921911)
This is a really great take. Agree wholeheartedly.
Oh man. I love how clean this UI is. I'm stealing some ideas for sure.

Can you point me toward any inspiration you had in designing? Other sites, approaches, etc.? I know nothing about UI design and it always stops me from getting my ideas created.

Re:I self-learned to code at 30 on Wednesday March 17, 2021 @11:06AM (#26492237)
The thing is, even if you just spend 1 hour every weekday and then whatever you happen to have available on weekends (even if it's nothing), those hours are going to add up.

The most important thing is that you code daily on something meaningful to you. Even finding an hour a day can be difficult, but should be doable for anyone.

This guy is smarter than me.
Re:How I Turned an Idea into $7K by Teaching Online on Saturday May 09, 2020 @04:19PM (#23127975)
Bingo. It also is a forcing function to spend the time learning - once I've paid money, I am more committed to seeing it through rather than flip-flopping around to different tutorials, etc.
This looks great. I just signed up for Freedom to solve this problem because it works across devices. I'll test your extension as well to see if it does the job as effectively.
I just wanted to chime in and say that this is incredibly inspiring and I hope it takes off.

Re:Eat This Much – Automatic Meal Planner on Thursday December 19, 2019 @08:32PM (#21841037)
Wow. Great job! Will definitely be giving it a go.
Re:Eat This Much – Automatic Meal Planner on Thursday December 19, 2019 @07:09PM (#21840600)
This is really nice. I love the UI, and am probably going use pieces as inspiration for something very unrelated I'm building.

Are you building this as a side gig? How many hours per week is going into it?

Re:Ask HN: Successful one-person online businesses? on Wednesday October 23, 2019 @10:08AM (#21334751)
Really interested in hearing more about your music blog. I'm working on an online DJ education platform (pretty niche). DM me if you're up for connecting.
I installed ClickUp over the weekend to give it a whirl, but it seems like managing sub-projects is difficult. I have multiple projects on the go for each of my clients, and I couldn't figure out how to go more than one level deep.

Any tips? It otherwise looks awesome.
