The laser guidance system costs $70K by itself. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/consumer&i...

It makes sense on long haul trucking but it is going to have to get a LOT cheaper before it goes on passenger cars. 10+ yrs is my guess before you see it on luxury cars. Same as Tesla.

People who can afford a driver will replace them with Google Bots who won't sell their story to People.

china sent 380. GB is the host country. It gets automatic entries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Summer_Olympics#Sorted_by_...
How about adjusting by the number of Olympians per country?

GPL V3 so I would not take a chance with it.

I have no problem paying for good software. The cost seems in the ballpark if it had all the features I need.

I would want the ability to add different classes other than just h1, h2.

Most of my projects will be using twitter bootstrap or jquery UI so it has to integrate well.

The link popup does not have the ability to add a target. For UGC, I would like the ability to force a target and add google analytics code.

It would be nice to add this to App Engine so people outside Google could try it. There is an issue on Google Code for it.

I would buy a Ubuntu laptop. I feel like a fool that I spent money on a MacBook Pro. I was too lazy to get a Linux laptop working.

Re:Why do programmers prefer Python over Ruby? on Monday March 26, 2012 @04:40PM (#3758540)
When I was starting learning Python, I considered Ruby. At the time, Ruby was Active Record only. Active Record does not let you use SQL procedures without defeating the whole purpose of Rails. For me, it meant that Rails was only good for toy CRUD apps.
Re:Stuck in snowdrift... what would you have done? on Tuesday December 27, 2011 @05:57PM (#3397802)
I would not have let my cellphone die. Charging it off the car should keep it alive for days.
Maybe somebody with TV talent should do a kickstarter?
We should go after Lamar Smith. How do I donate to an opponent or action committee that will run embarrassing ads questioning his intelligence?
Re:OnStar Begins Spying On Customers’ GPS Location For Profit on Tuesday September 20, 2011 @01:01PM (#3018410)
That is why I would never consider buying a GM car
