Re:What you should know as a founder of a software company on Saturday October 21, 2017 @07:31AM (#15521522)
This makes more sense in the context of the GP comment if Reddit's ad network is found on sites outside of Reddit. I confess ignorance to these particulars.

Adsense is for publishers, AdWords for advertisers. You are referring to Adsense, maybe?

On Android 6 at least, double tapping the home button brings up the camera immediately.
During the subprime crisis there were reports of loans which had been flipped so many times that the chain of title could not be determined.

Semi-automatic weapons, not automatic.

With respect, this is a crucial point if one desires to be taken seriously by gun owners when talking about guns, because confusing it reveals a lack of basic knowledge of the subject.

As a recovering jerk, I found the article rather insightful and useful.

That seems to be a type of negatively expressed sweetheart, in these terms.

There is a magical center of action, greatly to be desired, where one neither runs over others nor lies down to be overrun.

Did the sender domains in question have SPF records at any point?

SPF is essentially a self-maintained whitelist.

Blacklists are public and searchable. Something to check after dealing with an infected machine, for example.

Thank you for sharing!

The "hack" here, is merely getting the information out...historically not easy.

How about "machine monograph"?

This all sounds exactly like Solzhenitsyn's descriptions of Soviet factory production, where the work near the end of the month was always rushed out the door to meet quotas.

The way he tells it, no one ever got in trouble for subpar products. But if production numbers were down, someone was going to the gulag.

Apparently, consumers were aware of this and would try to obtain goods that were produced near the start of each month.

Almost everyone in a bus station waiting area with 24/7 TV/wifi, for example.

Why not tell them yourself? Passive aggression on a news feed won't improve the situation.

On the other hand, if the neighbors are burning wet wood, pine or otherwise Doing It Wrong maybe they would appreciate a friendly heads up.

Sounds like it needed to check for tailgaters before braking, as humans must do in most city driving. This must be improved by now.
How about "Signal Ahead" light boards on the back of semi trailers, which relay the traffic signal to the cars behind. Like Flashing Rear End Devices on trains, which operate by telemetry and function as red signals.

Ought to be maintenance free and a nice way for the big trucking lines to differentiate their public face - similar to those aero ground effects that are showing up on trailers.

Department of Homeland Security is equivalent to Carabinieri.

That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying that part of the process.
Re:Trump Fires Acting Attorney General on Tuesday January 31, 2017 @09:34AM (#13530822)
Unfortunately it never actually works that way, and we have to fight tooth and nail in courts to overturn unconstitutional laws.

The White House has its own office of legal counsel which has stated the order is legal. The AG ignored the legality of the order when making the decisions that led to firing.

This should be a zero trust relationship by design. Instead we are forced to trust the untrustworthy.

Blaming convenient phantoms is sidestepping the problem.
