austinstorm

Delightfully Orwellian.
Agreed. It's a weird shopping experience because unlike other online clothing retailers there's no consistent aesthetic. It feels like walking through a flea market, but some of the items are expensive high-end luxury.

I'm quite sure this was not posted by the authors, and they won't see your comment here.
Re:Show HN: Ponzi.es – Startup sticker ponzi scheme on Friday December 11, 2015 @01:05PM (#10718699)
LOVE IT
SO many people have tried this, and the USPS has shut them down. Either the USPS will do it or no one will, because they won't allow competition.
Re:Assembly is shutting down December 6, 2015 on Wednesday November 11, 2015 @02:16AM (#10545233)
An idea that was too idealistic to survive real life. Or was it too complicated? I was reluctant to contribute to products because of a perceived mob rule - and backend engineers were outnumbered by frontend and UX folks.
Re:Ask HN: Did YouTube ever remove the G+ requirement? on Tuesday November 10, 2015 @02:22PM (#10541680)
Even though the G+ requirement is a real bummer, there's no denying that YouTube comments have become slightly less of a cesspool since they implemented it.
Re:No more 25¢. No more transaction fees on Wednesday June 10, 2015 @06:22PM (#9696016)
I hope that Dwolla succeeds, because this is a great move.
Re:The curiously ordinary desire of Tim Schafer on Friday May 22, 2015 @02:54PM (#9590251)
Yes, this. I should be so lucky to build a 'lifestyle business', some kind of stable enterprise that is the livelihood of 10-20 people.
The name reminds me of The Babadook, a critically acclaimed movie from last fall about postpartum depression / the horrors of childrearing. Not the greatest association, I'd think.
Re:Stripe: Bitcoin on Thursday February 19, 2015 @08:16PM (#9078338)
It was illegal until recently.
Re:‘This.’ Has People Clamoring for an Invite on Wednesday February 04, 2015 @02:22AM (#8995715)
Seems fun, maybe. One of the big problems with my Facebook is the decreasing signal to noise ratio.
Re:A complete rewrite of wiki as a single page application on Monday February 02, 2015 @02:48PM (#8986425)
Smallest Federated Wiki is a great choice for the spirit of C2. But the interface is much more confusing than the old site, and lags behind similar wikis like TiddlyWiki.
That is cool
Neat. Vimeo has always had the jump on YouTube for crediting cast and crew.

Have you thought about adding an API?

Easier than trying to photograph phones, with all their reflective surfaces...
Re:EFF asks for the right to revive “abandoned” online games on Wednesday November 05, 2014 @08:00PM (#8565250)
This is neat, so there's no chance it will happen.
Re:Show HN: A database for browsing and discovering movies on Monday November 03, 2014 @02:10AM (#8549708)
Where does the data come from? TMDB is a great source. Letterboxd has a similar design and lots of curation features. Good job.
Re:Social Network Clone Script PHP on Sunday October 19, 2014 @10:49PM (#8480520)
Copying is a good way to learn, buuuut...
Re:How to get every game on STEAM for free on Saturday October 04, 2014 @08:33PM (#8411057)
Yeah, the headline is absurd and irresponsible.
Re:Show HN: Easiest Way to Schedule Posts on Social Media on Saturday October 04, 2014 @08:30PM (#8411052)
Neat, but I'm looking for a buffer-esque service that will allow me to post to tumblr and Pinterest. Right now I use a Frankenstein of zapier recipes to get close.
Re:Web 4.0 Is Coming on Thursday September 11, 2014 @07:48PM (#8305883)
Who upvoted this?
Pretty!
Agreed - it's waaay too late to change this now.
It's a nostalgia tax for my generation.
Re: on Friday March 07, 2014 @10:18PM (#7364109)
Who has a shortage of ideas? Also "Dropbox for Creepy Uncles" sounds highly illegal.
Re:The Quiet Revolution Is Here. Help Us Map It on Friday March 07, 2014 @04:37PM (#7362895)
Great idea, but the rhetoric is a bit overblown.
Re:Codekit 2 on Tuesday March 04, 2014 @11:11PM (#7345222)
This is such a bloated space, and it seems like suddenly every major player has an experimental app (atom.io, brackets.io) - it seems like it will become harder for programs like this.
Re:Ask HN: Do we need another email service? on Tuesday March 04, 2014 @11:47AM (#7341341)
Any innovation in email is welcome by me.
Re:Free Python Screencasts on Monday March 03, 2014 @07:03PM (#7337523)
