Anyone know how to use this with Google Slides? I don't see it anywhere in app.
Re:The Secret That Colleges Should Stop Keeping on Sunday February 23, 2025 @10:49AM (#43150096)
Isn't that exactly why we're in the position we're in? Near universal financial aid driving up prices?
Quake Champions is the best I've found.
Re:Things I Learnt in 2023 on Sunday January 14, 2024 @02:49PM (#38993768)
I'm surprised anyone thought the line was drawn on the field considering it changes with every first down.
Re:A Design History of L.A.'S Dingbat Apartment Buildings on Monday November 13, 2023 @02:11PM (#38253934)
Yep. I've lived in a few of these over the years and every single one had a courtyard/pool, grilling area, gym, and a guest parking section.
Re:Portal 64 – A demake of Portal for the Nintendo 64 on Monday September 04, 2023 @01:25PM (#37382680)
I mean, I've never heard of the term either but the context of the title alone was enough for me to figure it out.
Re:What Type of Exercise Is Best for Mental Health? on Monday June 26, 2023 @07:41AM (#36478425)
> I think the only people who think exercise solves depression are those that have never suffered clinical depression.

What about the studies with clinically depressed people who treat their symptoms as effectively as SSRIs with exercise? I'm thinking specifically of a running therapy study that was done recently, I haven't read the study linked by OP.

Yeah the issue is how fucking toxic the CS community is. I'm usually pretty numb to people talking shit but my god, I always remember why I stopped playing CS every time I reinstall to play it again.
Re:Big Tech layoffs hit diversity and inclusion jobs hard on Tuesday January 31, 2023 @01:59PM (#34600002)
Even then, it's still disingenuous. They only care about Asians when it supports their political agenda.
But you clicked.
Re:The unlikely odds of making it big on TikTok on Sunday July 31, 2022 @10:06AM (#32295558)
There really is no better platform for exposure. Just over a week ago my TikTok had just under 1k followers. I'm currently at 5.2k.

Compare that to something like Twitter or Twitch. You can go for months, even years, without ever getting noticed.

Are the projects all development related?
Those are two vastly different statements. Your original statement is still nonsense.
The citation is every media story on the subject and the overall mainstream debate.
The opposition to "trans athletes in female sports" is all you should need to know that this is wrong.

Nobody opposes trans athletes in male sports for obvious reasons.

What is the reason for their fatness then?
Re:How to Do a Handstand on Sunday June 12, 2022 @12:06PM (#31715558)
Shameless self promotion but who cares, everyone keeps addressing how much fluff there is in this article.

I have a solid handstand and I covered my exact process in 40 seconds: https://www.instagram.com/p/CeGzIrEDyTb/

A few people on Instagram and TikTok have commented saying this video was all they needed to close the final gap in their balance.

To get good at handstand push-ups. You can't judge an approach unless you know the goal.
I have a not so fond memory camping out in Walmart for my Wii. I think we could just stay inside since it was 24hrs and they were selling them right at midnight.

I got home, turned on the Wii, and was asked to insert a startup disc. I searched that box at least 20 times trying to find the disc with no luck.

I was a heavy user of GameSpot's forums at the time and asked about this disc. Literally everyone thought I was trolling. Nobody believed me until I uploaded photos of my TV.

Eventually my dad called Nintendo and they shipped out a new one ASAP but my 16 year old self was so pissed given all the hype going into it. Days waiting with a useless Wii staring back at me.

I've heard this saying for abs, never muscle.
That could still be true overall even if a subset of that group behaved differently, right?
Re:Squats can boost brain activity [video] on Friday September 10, 2021 @07:03AM (#28479868)
Unless we're talking about the calisthenics we did in school gym class, circles with your arms, you can get pretty big and shredded with it. Calisthenics is basically gymnastics and gymnasts are much bigger than yogis.

Note on bias: I do calisthenics...and weightlifting (https://www.instagram.com/p/CScdKCjr_0c/)

Thank you for sharing this. My girlfriend is fluent in Korean, I was when I lived there for a year while in 2nd grade, and I've been trying to learn Korean again. I'll definitely be checking out your app!
I used it once after I injured my shoulder doing straddle planches. I'm not sure exactly what was injured but it basically cured my shoulder overnight.
Lifting provides much more than improved health.

If you're sick and tired, lift or build shit. Whatever gets you moving.

Re:Silicon Valley’s Cynical Treatment of Asian Engineers on Wednesday July 21, 2021 @07:30AM (#27904871)
> Funny diversity does not include Asians even though they are a minority of the total population in the US.

This is why the term URM (under-represented minority) is used so often within tech. Rather than address the over-representation they adjusted the goal posts with this term.

Re:Ask HN: Did you quit smoking cannabis? If so, why? on Friday July 16, 2021 @01:44PM (#27858947)
> What's the point of it being legal if almost every place has no-smoking policies

I want it to be legal so I can buy it whenever I want even if I smoke in my own home 99% of the time.

Re:A good livestreaming setup is a well-tailored suit on Monday June 21, 2021 @12:40PM (#27580879)
Shameless self plug but I just helped set up this stream: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQRHhSGD_Py/

Visual Synthesizer is what's used to get some of the visual to react to the drum set input via MIDI. Surprisingly easy to setup with a DAW like Ableton: https://www.imaginando.pt/products/vs-visual-synthesizer

I'm happy to answer any questions in the meantime until I write up a blog post about it all.

Re:Unreal Engine 5 enters Early Access on Wednesday May 26, 2021 @12:05PM (#27292276)
I recently played Super Meat Boy. It's a great game and the character is basically a red square.
What am I looking at?
