Re:My Homelab Two Years Later, Every Upgrade and What It Cost on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @01:56AM (#49988839)
This encourages me to buy a node for my homelab but holy shit the prices now are very skyrocketed. Even I kinda struggle to find a new node for my homelab because most of the mini PCs or refurbished such as Optiplex and ThinkCentre are going expensive too and most of it are out of stock.
Re:Poll HN: Is there a skill to coding with AI? on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @10:24PM (#49987260)
Try to code blindly with AI and you'll waste more tokens because you don't have any idea on what you do, so you're dependant to AI solutions that often misleading and leading to "oh sorry, I implemented this while there's a simpler method, deleting the implementation and implementing the new implementation strategy".
Re:Sonnet 5.5 on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @07:05AM (#49891195)
Because that "vibe coders" didn't know and go through the fundamentals, thus they're wasting tokens with probably continuing the AI hallucination suggestions.

I've seen bunch of persons like this and that's kinda stupid because they're just blindly following AI's "suggestions" while they actually don't know what they're doing, then results on terrible code and architecture with "if it works, it works" mentality.

yo dawg
Re:Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md if there is no Claude.md on Saturday September 19, 2026 @04:21AM (#49764502)
it's been a standard practice on open source projects, right? CLAUDE.md only have one sentence "read ./AGENTS.md", lol.
One of the replies:

"Why would you reinvent the wheel rather than making it better?"

"To learn how wheels are made"

Banger reply.

Hey, it's a rare moment to see the "legend" of incremental games (shoutout to r/incrementalgames for introducing me to one of the genre I liked —because actually it can be played while working)!

Oh, they just re-invented `tmux send keys` that I've been using.
