News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

I cancelled my Pro plan due to this two weeks ago. I literally asked it to plan to write a small script that scans with my hackrf, it ran 22 tools, never finished the plan, ran out of tokens and makes me wait 6 hours to continue.

Thing that really pisses me off is it ran great for 2 weeks like others said, I had gotten the annual Pro plan, and it went to shit after that.

Bait and switch at its finest.

Well shit, now Waymos will be getting stolen by scanning the license plate for a USB thumbdrive.
Re:US sues Visa for monopoly on debit card use on Tuesday September 24, 2024 @04:39PM (#41640680)
After Zelle's rollout I have zero trust in Bank's ability to combat fraud in a consumer friendly matter unless they're required by laws with teeth to do so.

There is no way in hell I'd trust this service based on anything I've seen so far.

At least with a debit card you have Visa's limited fraud protection in most cases.

LLMs are nothing more than statistical token prediction engines, feed it bullcrap and it will statistically provide bullcrap. There is no novel thought behind them, and they're marginally more complicated than your phone's keyboard Next Word Predictor.

So, yeah, they'd fit in place of an McKinsey alumni sitting in a C-Suite transparently.

How about some Kevlar?

Well that's what happens when you put a McKinsey shrill at the helm and let them go on a mass hiring then mass layoff spree while bending a knee to activist investors to lower wages. You end up with employees who dgaf.
I know it's been going on for years, but it's all gotten worse since 2000 imo...

How can you say something so controversial yet so brave?

This is the least surprising thing I've seen OpenAI do.

See, what you need to do is get a job on that team, and sell the ability to have the team overlook the persons case... call it plsfixmyfix.com

https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/F2/947... is the ruling where a court overruled the EPA under the Bush administration that asbestos can not be banned by the EPA.

1,200,000 people dead since.

Hope it was worth it.

Bolt take considering this is no different than what China has been doing to the west for decades.

Is it really a contract if it can end unexpectedly? I know it is, but really the original purpose of a contract is to set the terms and conditions, so nothing was surprise when it happened.

We really need a better term for these one sided work agreements.

Alternative is what, driving into the city? Bus?

You're in the wilderness, you have a river you get water from. The river is fairly muddy, often times has silt and debris in it.

Alternatively you can collect water from a stagnant lake, or possibly the run off from that lake.

You can also dig a well, but that's far too resource intensive for you to do with what you've got available.

The river is the subway, we deal with the muck from time to time.

Driving is the stagnant pond, and a Bus is the runoff which may be marginally better than driving depending on where you are.

Digging a Well, well at $2.5 billion a mile digging new subway is just not in the cards.

Threaten the subway's comeback? We're going to drink from the muddy ass subway river cause the alternatives are more often than not worse.

Or we can just move.

wtf do you want bloomberg op-ed?

Like people doubted they'd run over a protester with a tank, right?
