> Just adding an atomic() context manager fixed it.
ok looks like you are intimately familiar with the code that is being produced and are AI as code generator rather than pure vibe coding.
That makes sense to me.
Btw did AI add that line when you explained what the error was or did you add that in manually.
have you ever made a non annoying comment
atleast you are self aware
he said RL sucks because it narrowly optimizes to solve a certain set of problems in certain sets of conditions.
he compared it to students who win at math competition but cant do anything practical .
yea paul graham knew with 10 mins of meeting teenage sam that sama is going to be the next bill gates .
True story from silicon valley ( real one not HBO one)
god you are so annoying. the site that you posted doesn't even work. so wtf are you even gloating about.
did you not run into this problem described by ilya below
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR20FWCCjAs&list=PLd7-bHaQwn...
this has been my experience purely vibecoding. i am surprised it works well for others.
btw the current production bug. how did you discover that and why it slip out. looks like site wasn't working at all when you posted that comment?
>
https://pine.townhow many prompts did it take you to make this?
how did you make sure that each new prompt didn't break some previous functionality?
did you have a precise vision for it when you started or did you just go with whatever was being given to you?
> how could his sister convince the teacher she had actually written the essay herself?
She can't because she didn't write the essay herself, obviously.
i know glassdoor isn't the best review site but in this case its bang on

i know several friends and family who cycled through here ( non tech) . they pay relatively higher salaries for chicago burbs area, so lot of ppl take their chances despite the bad reputation around here.
i live in the area and this place is one of the most toxic workplaces to have ever existed.
what level of seriousness does "context engineering" deserve?
pls don't create new guidelines
Yep I just use chatgpt . I can write better prompts and data for my own usecases
can you describe what the usecase is ?
it was fine to say this is something new and ppl should maybe look at it. but strongly recommending its and calling it wild is not a nuanced opinion. esp given you have not actually used it yourself in any serious way. is it really that big a ask to only use hype words for things you've actually used and made a big difference to you.
edit: looks like my comments crossed into personally attacking you . i apologize for it.
well explain why OPost is "wild" and what makes you recommend it "strongly" .
what have u built with to come to those conclusions ? is this too much to ask.
simon is the biggest ai hype man :) . everything is always strong, wild , superb , amazing. his blog posts like the one he linked here never explain why it is wild , strong ,super or any of other superlatives he uses.
also whats with overuse of these words in ai space. every team is 'cracked' , everything is 'wild'. real car salesman vibes.
yeah none them can actually prove or even explain it in words why thier own golden prompting technique is superior. its all vibes. so annoying, i want to slap these ppl lol.
don't llm tell you not to give them instructions like that these days
why isn't he doing it then?
> At the time I worked at a company that did just that, succesfully automating away thousands of jobs which couldn't pre-LLMs.
which company is this? surely they wouldve made a big splash for doing something no one else has been able to do.
> because every time it adds something it breaks something else.
standard ai workflow
Qualified and interested candidates should email their cover letter, resume, and compensation requirements to [email protected].
looks like your inbox is flooded and not accepting mail anymore.
always feel silly writing coverletters and then email doesn't go through :)
parents of that age are usually averse to that kind of tech
do you mean a VP laying off a middle manager would send a signal that he can be similarly replaced?
these articles uses to be so popular in HN back in the day. now its back to "let pretend we are meritocracy. politics is just learning how to work with other ppl" .
> So CEOs of successful companies have a job to do, and that job is to ensure that nothing happens. But people's natural inclination is to do things, and if they aren't doing things inside your company they will probably be doing things outside your company that risk toppling it. So you put one section of the company to work digging holes, and put the other section to work filling them in, and now everybody is happy and productive and yet there's no net external change to your company's position.
i work at a large music streamer and this perfectly describes my workplace. when i was outside i never understood why that company needs thousands and thousands of ppl to run what looks like stagnant product that hasn't changed much in years.
