I fixed it for ya

Don't be a menace.
Re:How to disable or avoid intrusive AI on Monday August 17, 2026 @11:45AM (#49332891)
`google.com##.hdzaWe` blocks the AI summary. This is better than udm=14 because it doesn't suppress the other sometimes-useful non-AI Google answer blocks.

I like the miro windows manager plugin: https://github.com/miromannino/miro-windows-manager

It's nice to be able to iterate through the halves/thirds configurations for different cases.

It's a beautiful system. And if you were a dipshit and got banned, you paid another $10 and hopefully learned your lesson.
Re:GrapheneOS – Break Free from Google and Apple on Tuesday February 17, 2026 @12:04PM (#47049795)
I wish there were a good iPhone Mini sized phone I could install GrapheneOS on.

Based on the (lack of) people I see refusing the optional facial recognition check at the TSA checkpoint for flying, I can't imagine this will be anything other than an overwhelming success for Discord and the surveillance state.

Because you're leaving 2-3% on the table for every transaction. Using a credit card doesn't mean you can't pay it off in full every month, costing you zero in interest, while taking advantage of reward programs.
Re:Liquid Glass Is Cracked, and Usability Suffers in iOS 26 on Friday October 10, 2025 @05:59PM (#45544289)
It was, but Apple is no longer signing the old releases. (https://ipsw.me/iPhone14,4).

I downgraded about 10 minutes after trying iOS 26. Sorry to all who missed the window.

Next time ask him if he'd be OK living in a glass house, since, as he's not a bad guy, he has nothing to hide.

Re:Omarchy, a Linux Distribution by DHH on Wednesday August 06, 2025 @12:59PM (#44814624)
This isn't true at all, it uses a Rails-inspired migration system: https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/tree/master/migrations

Do you think it's possible that someone might have a different workflow from you and tmux fits their use case in a way you haven't thought of?

Re:Ask HN: How to Get Rid of Gemini? on Monday June 23, 2025 @12:15PM (#44357273)
As of June 2025, the CSS selector for the AI overview in Google search results is `.hdzaWe`.
The S in MCP stands for security.
Would you mind sharing those custom rules?
The best way I've found to remove AI summaries from Google results is appending `&udm=14`.
Re:Troubleshooting: Terminal Lag on Wednesday July 31, 2024 @12:10AM (#41116348)
Out of curiosity, have you tried a 144hz monitor on macOS with vsync enabled?
Small world!
Very cool! I love 2D visualizations. I built https://pubg.sh many years ago; the telemetry format is quite similar actually. I know that professional PUBG teams use my tool for post-match analysis, I wonder if professional soccer teams have anything similar in-house, there's all sorts of things that you could track and visualize.
Re:Spotify is increasing US prices again on Monday June 03, 2024 @11:55AM (#40563928)
Does anyone have a recommendation on a tool to transfer my saved albums and playlists from Spotity to Apple Music?
If someone steals my car, I hope it's never recovered so I can get the insurance payout. Who knows how the thief drove it (e.g. put it in neutral and floored it for 10 minutes) and what unseen damage lurks.

I keep my notes stored in iCloud Drive and use iWriter on my phone when I need to view/edit notes. It works just fine.
The scam via voicemail possibilities are endless!
Re:The Simplicity of Single-File Golang Deployments on Wednesday March 22, 2023 @07:28PM (#35268505)
Ah yes, the #1 thing golang is known for: a comprehensive stdlib. Like including a max function for integers, right?
Re:GeForce RTX 40 Series on Tuesday September 20, 2022 @12:03PM (#32913626)
You forgot to mention "at 60 FPS".
Let me know once he actually transfers a non-zero sum towards either the punitive or compensatory amounts.
