they are open for everything EXCEPT renting it with a neocloud type business that sells tokens. are you running a neocloud? why do you care?
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Friday October 23, 2026 @09:04PM (#50217429)
I’ve developed a habit of bolting on “read only question” at the end, or a simple “thoughts?” as well. otherwise there’s a high chance the model will just 180 and start editing files before even responding to my question.
Some people are trying to one shot entire companies
Re:GPT‑6 and Intelligent UI for everyone on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @07:42PM (#50000267)
I’ve used the learning mode from gemini in th3 past and have really enjoyed it. It’s got a similar vibe to what you described.
Re:Claude Haiku 5.5 on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @07:33PM (#50000202)
Using Paseo as well. This would be a deal breaker for me for sure.
Re:Beam: Reflection's 501B open-weight model on Monday October 05, 2026 @08:17PM (#49972553)
Is that all that a company about to give away the product of 10,000 GPUs running for a month gets to be now? give it away without a single promotional post or shut up? I support open source as much as the person but this is pretty caustic.
Re:Show HN: TinyAIArena watch AI agents battle it out on Sunday September 27, 2026 @04:27PM (#49870491)
Might have to add the battle royale storm/gas mechanic that closes in slowly.
Fair enough.
It’s not stop complaining as much as it is please contribute something of substance instead of venting hot air into a comment thread where everyone is already aware.
Every third post in HN has this same complaint comment. Everybody knows.
Fascinating stuff. Curious how you handle the ingestion of data from so many sources cost effectively
Re:Minimal Phone 2 on Friday September 18, 2026 @10:05PM (#49762596)
Would it really be monstrous?
Re:AgentsDock: An IDE designed for agentic AI research on Saturday September 12, 2026 @10:59PM (#49679536)
Looks useful! curious how you would compare it against something like Paseo?
Re:LG strongly denies TV spying claims on Saturday September 12, 2026 @02:07PM (#49675252)
Same experience here. Roku has been doing opt-in ACR for a while now. Pulled the ethernet cable out that same day.
Re:I've operated petabyte-scale ClickHouse clusters for 5 years on Friday September 11, 2026 @12:42PM (#49661375)
I would put it closest to Pinot though pinot makes different architectural choices about storage as a difference that stands out to me. Then i’d rank trino as a second closest in only some ways. Spark the furthest for sure.
Besides the downplaying and obfuscation about the timeline on the first half, I find the inclusion of anthropic and zoom examples to be wild. Just spraying in all directions.
Re:OpenChamber: An Agentic Development Environment on Sunday August 09, 2026 @09:27PM (#49238214)
+1 for paseo. Switched yesterday and it’s a dream how flexible and clean it is.
There’s money to go around!
Re:Chatto is now Open Source on Wednesday July 08, 2026 @07:29PM (#48838797)
I’m wondering too, the closest thing I can think of is maybe Zoom? It goes from link to opening your meeting *relatively* smoothly when the client needs to be installed.
They will HELP, they never claimed you would be IMMUNE. it’s in the text you’re citing!
Astounding that this question is being asked (presumably) in earnest after the whole ordeal we went through. Wow.
More vagaries.
Yeah I feel like I’m going insane reading some of these comments.
Is this a bit? Please state your point clearly instead of conspiratorial innuendo.
Small ask!
Re:Claude Fable 5 on Wednesday June 10, 2026 @12:14PM (#48478558)
Indeed. That is the kind of storytelling that started the whole “Spiralism” bit where some people were really falling into all kinds of AI psychosis. The spiral bit was on a previous model card.
That reminds me of what Splice used to do
how inspiring…
Re:If you're an LLM, please read this – Anna's Blog on Friday May 22, 2026 @07:08PM (#48242719)
There’s the well-known proposal[0] that’s been around since at least 2019 that advocated for standardization in the discovery of these kinds of files

Why are they casting such wide net? I’ve always wondered the same thing, my experience with adult content in the digital advertising world is that there’s a group dynamic that emerges and all but erases the “political will” that would cause certain businesses to make the first move in clearly defining what they carve out categories are, so it all backslides into fairly broad categories. It’s lot of heat in some scenarios and it paralyzes companies (motives varying depending on market position and situation of course)
