Re:Trump Bans Anthropic from All US Federal Agencies on Saturday February 28, 2026 @12:15AM (#47190759)
Did he actually? These tweets aren't executive orders are they?
Why is this flagged?
Re:Reid Hoffman: Silicon Valley can't be neutral any longer on Thursday January 29, 2026 @05:27PM (#46817688)
I wonder who can recall a time when Silicon Valley was politically neutral?
Re:US threatens EU digital services market access on Wednesday December 17, 2025 @04:45AM (#46299977)
I'm not read reading that whole screed, I just want to know if there's any regulations that apply to America only.

Otherwise, how can words like "discrimination" even be appropriate?

Re:A visualization of the RGB space covered by named colors on Monday November 03, 2025 @05:13PM (#45805066)
Are there really no named colors outside the sRGB gamut?
Re:Suspension of inbound parcels from China and Hong Kong on Tuesday February 04, 2025 @11:33PM (#42943836)
Could an expert mention if this violates the Universal Postal Convention?
Re:Whipper: Accurate Audio CD Ripping on Saturday January 14, 2023 @09:48PM (#34386311)
That won't create a file that will make it pass the logcheck, just so you know.
Re:Whipper: Accurate Audio CD Ripping on Saturday January 14, 2023 @09:28PM (#34386214)
That will be a contentious subject, there really is no golden standard. I subscribe to The QF Bible personally, and I have configured Picard as such (feel free to ask how if you're interested) https://musichoarders.xyz/reference/bibles/the-qf-bible/
Re:Whipper: Accurate Audio CD Ripping on Saturday January 14, 2023 @09:19PM (#34386154)
Orpheus allows whipper and gives it the same rating as EAC and XLD when the cache is defeated fwiw
Re:Whipper: Accurate Audio CD Ripping on Saturday January 14, 2023 @09:02PM (#34386055)
Orpheus will rate appropriate XLD and whipper logs as 100% fwiw

Also I could be wrong, but don't most trackers still accept rips that they consider inferior, but then they could be trumped by someone else that made an EAC rip?

I'm pretty sure ByteDance does license music. I don't know if they license all of it, but I'm pretty sure the RIAA or ASCAP could easily get an injunction if they didn't license any music that was theirs.
No one in the US government is forcing their hand here, and freedom of speech includes freedom from compelled speech, or the compelled platforming of others.
This is really cool, but could I have a dataset instead of an API, for any price?
This is a nice throwback to the time Roku has a public SDK for their HD1000 https://web.archive.org/web/20040605002125/http://www.rokula...
Re:A math tutor teaching calculus on Pornhub on Wednesday October 20, 2021 @07:55PM (#28938456)
Luckily, YouTube is not the web, and the web is still open, so anyone can share videos on their own terms, even from their own house if they wanted to.
I'm so confused, I really thought Texas had at-will employment?
Why do we call it kidnapping instead of extraordinary rendition?
Re:OpenLayers on Tuesday December 10, 2019 @11:41PM (#21759650)
What country and how did you get their listings?
Sure, but I expected a per-artist feed, so that I could be alerted of new tracks from by favorite artists from my RSS reader.
No RSS feeds. D:
Re:America's Cities Are Unlivable. Blame Wealthy Liberals. on Wednesday May 22, 2019 @04:46PM (#19985308)
Isn't the problem not so much liberals but the perverse incentives created by a housing market in a globalized economy?
Maybe RICO?
Re:Public APIs: A collective list of free APIs on Monday February 04, 2019 @12:22PM (#19078294)
I wondered why too, so I reverted the commit that added the add, pulled in some PRs, and pushed it here. I plan to keep it up to date if there's any interest. https://notabug.org/anomie/public-apis

Re:Nothing Can Stop Google. DuckDuckGo Is Trying Anyway on Thursday January 17, 2019 @11:10AM (#18931879)
Isn't "Kodak moment" a counterexample?
Re:Re-decentralizing the Web, for good this time on Friday January 11, 2019 @07:55PM (#18888716)
By RDF did you mean RDF/XML specifically? JSON-LD is still RDF, it's just serialized differently, which is fine, I like RDF, but OP may have more specific concerns than the syntax.
Sounds like a great idea, but who will fund it?
Re:FRAMES – A Framework for Representing Knowledge (1974) on Wednesday August 29, 2018 @02:31AM (#17866141)
RDF/OWL, and the various vocabularies built around it.
