Meh.. Anyone interested in this already uses emacs or vim+tmux.
Maybe, just maybe, prudish attitudes regarding sex weren't arbitrary rules invented by a patriarchal society but are actually rooted in human behaviour, checks that kept our more debased impulses in line. Not something to be toppled in the name of progress, culture, and sophistication without any regard for second-order consequences.
Kobo was always better. As always, people deserve what they tolerate.
I use a cheap vps + dufs. Great for drag and dropping files and have my jellyfin server pointing to those directories.
Running most of my VSTs with wine + yabridge. Amazing that transcription layer/emulation software end up having less issues than running shit native.

In a post gamergate world dunno why people still rate Conde Nasty
Re:The Dank Case for Scrolling Window Managers on Friday January 30, 2026 @05:39AM (#46822794)
If you want to picture the future, imagine a million AI agents implementing todo apps and someone "re-imagining" the Alt+Tab feature, forever.
Re:Moltbook on Friday January 30, 2026 @04:33AM (#46822339)
Nah. I'll continue using a todo.txt that I consistently ignore.
Re:If You Tax Them, Will They Leave? on Friday January 30, 2026 @04:23AM (#46822268)
It's all fun and games until it affects one's bottom line. Similarly to AI, only now are progressives in the position of being the naysayers because it affects them directly. Everyone has their agenda (and that's okay to a point), but the moral posturing about these types of issues is sickening.
Re:After two years of vibecoding, I'm back to writing by hand on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @04:11AM (#46777428)
I still cannot make AI do anything with quality higher than the function level. I've been using it a lot to write some more complex functions and SQL with a quality level that I find good, but anything higher order and it's a complete clusterfuck. Cannot comprehend this world where people say they are building entire companies and whole products with it.
Re:Cloudflare acquires Astro on Friday January 16, 2026 @10:13AM (#46647171)
Tried Astro after being utterly confused with Hugo templating and found it rather over-engineered. Went with 11tty instead and don't regret it.
Re:Minneapolis driver shot and killed by ICE on Friday January 09, 2026 @04:17AM (#46551716)
I blame news media, social media, and entertainment for this. You aren't some heroic resistance fighting fascism; you're a citizen not complying with police orders. The real world isn't a Netflix series.
Re:Jeffgeerling.com has been Migrated to Hugo on Tuesday January 06, 2026 @04:41AM (#46510411)
Found Hugo templating to be unnecessarily hard and confusing. After toying with Python using string.replace and Pandoc, I finally settled for Eleventy with Nunjucks.
What's the actual factual accusation here? That monied interests converge on the ruling power? How is this different when the 'opposition' is in control? As conditions for the middle class continue to deteriorate, isn't it normal that companies that depend on middle class purchasing power try to adjust government buttons and levers to assure their continuation and position in the market? The 'holier than thou' is showing.
