I try to avoid depending on US mega-corporations.

Looking at it right now from Denmark. You must have some other problem.

Why not go one step further and place solar panels over roads? All the space ever needed is already available!

Thanks! I can't stop reading.
Having worked with .Net for many years, I always had a bad feeling expanding my experience with a closed source, Windows-only platform (I liked the C# language and tooling, though). I kept looking for an open source, cross platform language with the same features and characteristics as .Net. .Net Standard and .Net Core being open source (MIT licenced), cross-platform, more performant than .Net Framework and Mono and being supported by free cross-platform tooling really gives me peace of mind in this regard.

Bricks are not just clay. Ask yourself: How does clay become bricks? Hint: it has a cost.

"Nordics" covers a pretty diverse area regarding climate and quality of local timber. Most houses in Denmark (southernmost part of "nordics") are built with bricks because wood has a tendency to rot in our climate. Also, we experience almost no earthquakes.

"Technical EM"? What about architect? Or is that title no longer in fashion?
Re:Oil Demand for Cars Is Already Falling on Saturday November 17, 2018 @08:42AM (#18475479)
Hint: Scandinavia is not a country. Cars are cheap in Sweden compared with Denmark, for instance.

Read the link. It contains more than enough hard info for anyone with a real interest in the subject to look up a few things and become a whole lot wiser. Also, he's not a total rando; he is a wind power pioneer and was the CTO of Siemens Wind Power until 2014. Look him up at Wikipedia - there's an article in English.

Counter example from Denmark, a European country: two weeks ago my son had a rash (no other symptoms), preventing me from dropping him off at daycare. I called the doctor at 8.30 a.m., had an appointment at the FREE doctor at 11. Problem solved in less than three hours.
Well, I made this one back in 2011. But please don't use it for selecting paint. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jenspeterv...
