What does BYOA mean?
Thanks!
I usually take them in the winter, but I was curious nevertheless.
Any kind of mushroom?
A train is not a car. They accelerate and brake very slowly, you need kilometers to brake at high speed, it is impossible to check manually.
Re:Gemini 4 Carbon on Thursday October 29, 2026 @04:35AM (#50286057)
It seems more like an Argon 4.1 to me, given the price and the statement that it was trained on Argon 4. Very confusing.
Re:The compiler was supposed to end programming too on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @03:05PM (#50185919)
It's definitely going to be a socioeconomic shock, but staring at a screen for 8 hours a day is something I won't miss.

And not only your testing, I have seen that claim a lot of time online. I never tested it, though.

I still think only privacy is relevant to run on your own infra, never cost.
Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @06:54AM (#50069697)
Such a racist point of view. Everywhere outside the Western world, I said, which is clear enough, but you had to add a racist undertone to downplay the rest of the world.
Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Monday October 12, 2026 @01:46PM (#50060050)
Not in the West, but they will be in China and the rest of the world.
Either fun or totally random. Unfair but at least cheap.
Well, in this case, I think the problem and what should be updated is how grants work. They were stupid before, but now they are even more.
Re:Mistral Large 4 on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @06:52AM (#49990952)
Proportionally to income, Anthropic revenue is two thirds of its expenses, Mistral is a half, and OpenAI a little bit than a half. They aren't that different.

Sorry, read*, not learn
Re:Show HN: Germany's new sovereign AI model Kolibri on Saturday October 03, 2026 @12:19PM (#49945559)
I think it means that German speakers can learn the thinking without speaking English.
Re:Show HN: Germany's new sovereign AI model Kolibri on Saturday October 03, 2026 @12:18PM (#49945550)
Very long words in German are just compounds, made from individual words or morphemes. It is the same as in English if you remove spaces. Subtokens will be equivalent with or without examples.

E.g., economics.
Re:How Singapore's government-run dating service works on Friday October 02, 2026 @03:17AM (#49930706)
Where in the 48 countries in Asia this is like that? Are you reducing the largest, most populated, and most diverse continent on Earth to a single country?
The US has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world, so maybe that is not the solution? Sounds easy and direct, but it does not seem to work.
Re:Astra for Law on Friday September 18, 2026 @03:49AM (#49751325)
I understand, thank you so much for the detailed answer.
Re:Astra for Law on Friday September 18, 2026 @02:46AM (#49750894)
Once again, LLMs comes to solve a problem that should not be there in the first place.
Re:Astra for Law on Friday September 18, 2026 @02:45AM (#49750888)
Isn't achieving a rigorous, unique specificarion what civil law tries to achieve? Not that it is a success, but the idea behind it. Sorry if this is a silly question, but this is how I understand it.
Re:I can't stop thinking about Papua New Guinea on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @11:41AM (#49714255)
I cannot recommend reading this book enough.
Re:I can't stop thinking about Papua New Guinea on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @10:01AM (#49712663)
This does not make sense I love it. Why State of Origin and not just simply the NRL?
Re:I can't stop thinking about Papua New Guinea on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @10:00AM (#49712647)
Is this backed by some anthropological real world examples, or are you just extrapolating theories?
Re:Tiny $70 Xteink X3 e-reader puts Silicon Valley to shame on Friday September 11, 2026 @05:43AM (#49655755)
Thanks. I was considering Kobo actually, but my old Kindle still resists.
Re:My Feed, My Way on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @06:12AM (#49608216)
They are really adictive and engaging, and they trick you into spending more time there. Nobody ever says "let's watch reels for 3h", but here we are.
Re:My Feed, My Way on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @05:19AM (#49607778)
Do you really enjoy doom scrolling? Because I don't, it is just addictive and makes me feel tired and sad most of the times, with infrequent sparks of joy.
Re:Tiny $70 Xteink X3 e-reader puts Silicon Valley to shame on Monday September 07, 2026 @10:46AM (#49599019)
I am planning updating my Kindle Paperwhite from 2016. I love the idea of having a smaller e-reader I can have always in my pocket, but I worry about it being too small. Do you have another e-reader or have used any before? How would you compare them?
