The only way to not make it garbage is do those thing.
Bonkheads was released 10 years after Super Mario Bros 3.
It is almost an exact copy of the Mario battle game, Im surprised Nintendo didnt nuke it.
Sounds like Claude will do a better job of it then.
I guess it depends on your definition of the words niche and luxury.
Interesting you bring up Roku as a main comparison, as only the Roku Ultra device has AV1 support and that is via DASH only:
https://developer.roku.com/dev/docs/media
So if you are saying Roku has 43% of the market, I would consider that as support for my point that AV1 is not that widely supported.
Mainstream? The most popular hardware streaming device (Nvidia shield) does not even support it, so I wouldnt call it mainstream.
H.264 for 1080p and less. H.265 for 2160p.
Scrolling is a great reason for touchscreens on laptop, you can just swipe and down on your screen which is much more natural than two finger gesturing or grabbing a scrollbar.
My boss wont have a non touchscreen laptop purely for ease of scrolling up and down reports and around spreadsheets
> it should take at least a decade to regain any trust
Then as it has been 2 decades you should be all good right?
No, pulling up a bug from 18 years ago to argue against the fact that linux is secure is nonsense.
Why do people still think of Apple as a leader in security? This kind of thing happens all the time with them these days.
No, you have a pretty easy way of intercepting someones git credentials and repo access. Arguably more dangerous than a gmail inbox.
If you see a developer using git on a Mac laptop in a coffeeshop, you can intercept that and gain their repo and probably password hashes pretty easily.
Why arent they just pushing this patch out on their security update channel?
> 24/7 liquidity and near instant settlement
Isnt this offset by large taxes when you have to convert your coin back to real currency?
"Claude, update my project to be compatible with the latest KDE changelog"
> I’d need to maintain my own fork to fix them
At least this is an option with Linux
This is an Apple device, the word upgrade does not exist in their world.
> getting some work done while out in nature
> quietly enjoying nature on a day off
You seem to have your concepts mixed up!
I for one much prefer to do work at a desk instead of wandering around.
cool, so why exactly are people saying that this cant happen anymore and parents need to give screens to their kids in order to have enough time to work? Kids dont roam anymore becasue they have screens, not the other way around.
I fully disagree with that. You used to have to get up and go out and find everything in the world. Now you can just sit on your sofa and have everything come to you, including your job.
I guess thats why we are also now seeing epidemics of young people that cant cope with independent modern life without constant support, and massive rises in mental health issues of young adults.
> Buying a kindle for my kid has been a decision that still pays dividends
Fair enough. I guess ignoring large swathes of industry research and government warnings must be a good tradeoff for an easier life.
> The talk in this thread indicates absolutely no empathy for dual working parents and just repeats tired talking points.
I am a dual working parent. We dont own a tablet and our kids never get handed phones. The kids occasionally watch Bluey and Peppa pig on the TV (live not apps).
Your Apple 2 days were very different to the algorithms and feeds of today. Giving a kid a phone loaded up with the Youtube Kids app is literally like feeding them crack.
You dont even have kids, why do you have such a strong opinion on what real parents are saying about bringing up their own kids?
This assumes TV and tablets are they same, they very much are not.
Your very point about them being more interactive is what makes them much more dangerous.
I wonder what parents did for thousands of years before screens came along.
Did you read the article? It clearly references many research projects which show detrimental behaviour, bad temper, and poor attention spans undeniably linked to screen time in under 6s.
Another thing to blame on the billionaires then. Soon they will become like gods, feared and blamed for intentionally causing plagues and famines when people dont appease them enough.
