And when the year is over, you'll be paying +$50/mo for your setup instead of $5.
Re:How AWS came to be on Saturday July 02, 2016 @05:00PM (#12023771)
Still, don't use AWS for your new startup. Move to it once you outgrow the offers from Linode and DigitalOcean. You'll save a ton of money.
Everyone.
Do like the nissan.com dude did. You have the domain and no one will ever take it from you. Tarnish their reputation is they are unethical.
If you can generate enough bad publicity for them, they will.

I am very jealous as a Django developer. They decided to keep Channels as a third-party package after all, maintained by a single guy :(

Ah, another limiting abstraction layer to learn and to fight.

Bash is plenty good.

Re:Moving Away from Python 2 on Friday May 20, 2016 @07:03PM (#11742235)
Which framework are you using for the said microservice?
Re:Perfect is Scary on Thursday May 19, 2016 @10:49PM (#11735289)
Well said. Also, what could be called perfect today is not necessarily "perfect" tomorrow. Example: other frameworks solve the problems at hand in a better way.
Re:Visual profiler for Python on Thursday May 19, 2016 @07:15PM (#11734594)
Does it work with Django? If so, how?
Re:Play Store and Android Apps Coming to Chromebooks on Thursday May 19, 2016 @04:36PM (#11733595)
Natively. In most cases, faster than the phone version.
Re:Fast.com: Netflix internet connection speed test on Wednesday May 18, 2016 @06:37PM (#11726585)
I am not sure you two are idiots or just trolling. I am referring to the fact that the guy is trying to steal traffic.
Re:Fast.com: Netflix internet connection speed test on Wednesday May 18, 2016 @01:23PM (#11723692)
I am not sure they would appreciate that as at any moment when there will be traffic on slow.com you may change it to something else.
Re:Microsoft Edge supports ES6 modules on Tuesday May 17, 2016 @06:32PM (#11718122)
Actually I used Netscape and many of its derivatives. That doesn't grant Microsoft a pass.
Re:Microsoft Edge supports ES6 modules on Tuesday May 17, 2016 @04:30PM (#11717150)
I am suspecting the people down voting are too young and didn't experience IE6 hell.
Re:Microsoft Edge supports ES6 modules on Tuesday May 17, 2016 @02:49PM (#11716231)
I tell you how. Posts like this claiming they are cutting-edge will enable to once again take control of browsers and once they are at the top, they will start playing their monopoly game. And the cycle will start again.

He said exactly that about three times in his article.
Re:New Sublime Text update on Thursday May 12, 2016 @10:56PM (#11688347)
It's sad because it means Sublime dev isn't doing it out of love. Much like Microsoft.
CloudFormation
Good luck blocking mobile ads :/

Unlike desktop, they control Android and its ecosystem. They just won't make it easy to block them.

I have hard time believing this is the sole reason that caused the increase.

Re:GoDaddy CTO and Cloud VP Heads to Google on Saturday April 16, 2016 @08:13PM (#11512909)
Last I checked it was for US residents only. I couldn't sign up from Canada.

Thinking about trying AWS domain registration services soon.

Re:Kite – Programming Copilot on Friday April 15, 2016 @11:45AM (#11505208)
Developer. I don't care about space because most of my stuff are cloud-based.

Not really willing to change the SSD that came with my 2015 Mac.

Mine has 128GB, less than 10GB free.

Re:Tokamak: A Rust IDE for Atom on Monday April 04, 2016 @08:59PM (#11427027)
It will never be as fast as Sublime. Not before a few years at least.
Re:Head of Oracle Linux Moves to Microsoft on Monday April 04, 2016 @04:22PM (#11425233)
So you are saying they are against web apps that replace native apps such as Google Docs and thus it was not in their best interest to make the browser powerful. Interesting.
Re:Head of Oracle Linux Moves to Microsoft on Sunday April 03, 2016 @04:56PM (#11417660)
That's a bold claim. What's in it for Microsoft to build a shitty browser?
