News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

alanhaha

Some strange idea comes to my mind. I suspect that Mike Kaganski's account was marked as a Russian account. And Microsoft is cutting support to Russian accounts.
Also, it will kindly(?) create an account corresponding to github account.

If you want to remove content from the repository it cloned, you need to login with github account, and remove content. But the account and the project will still be kept as a placeholder.

From https://www.landiannews.com/archives/104677.html

It's stolen. It's a content farm.

It will crawl tech articles from other places, use LLM to copy one, and use gitcode url to replace github url.

Re:Google Pixel Fold on Thursday May 11, 2023 @03:43AM (#35899059)
I use the official case for Z Fold 4 only because of the camera bump. The shape of the camera bump make it almost impossible to stay still on the table.

But I think Pixel Fold doesn't have the issue if I choose it. The shape can stay still on the table I think.

Using ggml-vicuna-7b-4bit-rev1:

In most countries, the minimum age to obtain a driver's license and legally drive a car is 18 years old. However, there may be certain circumstances where a person under the age of 18 may be allowed to drive a car, such as in the case of a learner's permit or with the supervision of a licensed driver.

It ultimately depends on the specific laws and regulations in the jurisdiction where David lives, but generally, he would not be allowed to drive a car without a valid driver's license.

I think this is quite cool! Even for abled people, I can use a bluetooth trackpad and doing other things with both hands. And I think it's a good way to interact with TV.

However, for me it seems that I can't eat things when wearing it, or it can be hard to clean.

Good idea! I think it would be better if it allows user to edit the returned command and run.

Wow, it's so mean, and I like it. Personally I call it ClosedAI.
Amazing toy! It shows a wonderful demo about how we can use GPT during coding.

However, it also shows the limitation of a language mode: it doesn't really do logic thinking. Like this example: https://whatdoesthiscodedo.com/g/84150d0. The code is from https://stackoverflow.com/questions/70195388/remove-specific... . In the result, it says "Note that since 'March' is at index 2 (which is not greater than 0)".

Apple to Remove Outdated Apps from the App Store https://www.infoq.com/news/2022/05/apple-app-removal-policy/
1. Service providers need users to confirm some policy changes before a deadline, or the account can be frozen.

2. Service providers automatically detected that the user is violating policies, and need to contact to re-activate the account.

3. Service providers update technique requirements or API, making running app failed.

I agree with the point of this article. I don't use twitter search to search cities in China to find news any more. Because I found it's full of prostitution ad in years.

While it may not be accurate, but for "idempotent", did you mean "invertible"?
I would definitely suggest you not doing this.

Your code can be hidden without any notification, just showing "该文件疑似存在违规内容,无法显示" (The file is suspected to contain illegal content and cannot be displayed). You even don't know which part has the issue and how to modify.

Re:Security issue related to the NPM registry on Tuesday November 16, 2021 @09:12PM (#29248661)
Well, it may not be directly related with this issue, I think that it's going to be harder for individual developer. More and more things are needed to be considered.

Maybe at some point, only large enterprise can afford to do proper development.

Today, WSL will try to add PATH in Windows to PATH in Linux. So if you install something like NodeJS in Windows, and run node in Linux, it will try to call /mnt/c/Program Files/nodejs/node.exe and say "no such file or directory: /mnt/c/Program".

Will this also fool formatter?

Actually I think the format of the example in https://www.trojansource.codes/ is too strange that I would like committer to fix.
