Re:I Spent Spring Break Teaching Girls to Code on Wednesday July 08, 2015 @07:09PM (#9855210)
Inspiring. I was glad to see a coding camp for kids in my neighborhood. It conflicted with another summer camp we'd chosen, now I'm curious to know about the gender breakdown of the participants.
Re:To Stop Mosquito Bites, Silence Your Skin's Bacteria on Friday July 03, 2015 @05:39PM (#9828102)
I wonder if there's any impact on ticks. Those are far more concerning to me than mosquitos.
At 40% abv, isn't a drink 1.5 oz?

Re:Storied: Capture and Share Family Stories on Wednesday October 03, 2012 @01:09PM (#4608449)
Love the story behind Storied! I'm fortunate to not have anyone in my family suffering from Alzheimer's, but I can only imagine how hard it must be to see someone struggle to recall people and events that define them, and then to have something that can help bring some of it back.
Re:I hired my friends and family, and I’d do it again. on Wednesday October 03, 2012 @01:04PM (#4608425)

Re:You are getting sleeeeeeepy ... on Tuesday October 02, 2012 @01:04PM (#4602999)
I think your assumption is right on. Just try to listen to music when you walk and not end up lock-step with the beat.
Re:Show HN: Meet your cardboard buddy. on Tuesday October 02, 2012 @12:53PM (#4602922)
Novel and entertaining. Reminds me of creating a Mii on the Wii, only they arrive at your door.

It would be cool if you could get super mini versions that you could hand out as business cards. It's the kind of thing that recipients would definitely show around, and hold on to.

Re:Maily: Your Kids' First Email on Monday October 01, 2012 @01:53PM (#4598390)
I think kids spend way too much time on phones, tablets and computers. I want my kids playing outside, not staring at a screen.

Definitely agree with this. Would cut down on wasted packaging as well.
Re:Why I want to see Gittip succeed on Thursday September 27, 2012 @11:10AM (#4581026)
I love this because the founder gets compensated the same way users do.
Re:Why Responsive Design Is Not Worth It on Tuesday September 25, 2012 @10:58AM (#4570671)
This is an opinion. People are allowed to have them. The article may make points that some (many) don't agree with, but that doesn't make them not valid. That said, the title of the article inflates the argument.. just a tad.
Re:Fifty Years of the Jetsons on Friday September 21, 2012 @12:13PM (#4554321)
It's interesting to me to see things once deemed futuristic (in, say, movies, books, cartoons etc.) become reality years or decades later. I guess if you can think it, eventually someone can and will actually make it.
Re:New Apple maps app under fire from users on Thursday September 20, 2012 @11:28AM (#4549017)
Well said. Apple should have their own maps app. Bummer it's as bad as it is right now, so find a workaround and trust it will get better in time...
