I've had a similar experience. Everything looked okay until I found rat droppings, and not just a few either. Customer support was insisting on minimizing it, though I got a refund too. I know it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it sours everything and reminds you that you are taking a gamble.

I've wanted a little more isolation than what distrobox can give me for a while now, and I did enjoy WSL when I used Windows. I've also never heard of Frostyard before, and the other repos look pretty interesting as well. Thanks for sharing!

Flatpak is handy, but given their history, if I can run it in the browser, I'll leave it there. I don't want it, even in a sandbox.
