Re:Executable Is a SQLite Database on Monday August 24, 2026 @05:03PM (#49425825)
yes you are right, in the article the author thinks he just realized something special "elf is a data base", but no, is not, its just a structured piece of data "a database", sqlite file format is also that, the only diference between Elf and sqlite file is that the latter has a a better "client" to inspect it.

Thats a very naive position to have my friend. You AT LEAST know Musk position/stance. What about the others CEOs? you never hear them talking about politics, perhaps some of them are 10x worst in ideology and bad influence against your values and you will buy and give your data to them without knowing. Ultimately, you are using a judgment you objetivelly can NOT do, nor trully compare the other options, so you are complicating and perhaps and ultimatelly being the grain of sand of a sand storm that can do damage to probably the most important entrepreneur of our time, who achieved so much. I Rather give him resources to achieve something, because the guy does eventually deilvers.

Re:What xAI's Grok Build CLI Actually Sends to xAI on Sunday July 12, 2026 @01:13PM (#48882721)
That is my point! The fact that there are a lot of people that will believe what you are stating without a reasonably proof is what makes me sad and worry about the future. That kind of statements you are doing are enough to put in company webpage and term of service and thats it. Any attempt to repeat them as if they are true makes: 1) The messenger looks good in the eyes of stupid and innocent people. 2) The messenger looks stupid in the eyes of people that have reasonable doubts about company statements that are agains their own interest.

Can you prove what you are saying, you have to, if not, you are talking to us like we are idiots.

I feel sad for you my friend to see that you are asking for political topics to a LLM. I hope one they you will realize you can actually do productive things with this technology.

In the Age of AI coding, this lovely cool demos are no longer interesting anymore. I use to appreciate them by the craftsmanship and hacking aptitude they required, but now AI took away that joy of watch this for me.
Re:AI Slop Is Killing Online Communities on Thursday May 07, 2026 @03:26PM (#48053689)
I kind feel this might be good. Bot writen comments and AI media that can no longer be distinguish from real, will make us human leave the social networks, which helped to separate Us humans. Going back to the real world were you can trully believe on what you see, and enjoy the tone, look and scent of of our fellows humans beings.
Re:Do you even need a database? on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @03:35PM (#47784106)
To not destroy the article author and apreciate his effort to prove something, that might be useful in a extreme case of optimization with a limited ammount of data and NO NEED to update/write the files. Just a read cache only.

If you need to ever update a single byte in your data, please USE A PROPER DATABASE, databases does a lot of fancy thing to ensure you are not going to corrupt/broke your data on disk among other safety things.

So far, each release of a new model is quite better than the last one, yes, but non of them lived up to the hype.
Re:Migrating Away from Rust on Wednesday April 30, 2025 @10:40AM (#43845929)
Thats a feature not an annoyance. We need to keep Rust like it is to preserve its core value delivey: Robust software quality in exchange for development & compile time/pain, in other words: "the pain is moved from production to development" you can not have joy in both at the same time.

Not sure if Rust should be promoted to build games, i prefer it being pushed to build mission critical software.

Re:AI Killed the Tech Interview. Now What? on Thursday February 20, 2025 @11:37AM (#43116815)
Beautifully articulated truth
Not good comparision between artistic products vs hard requirement software product.

- If your movie is running out of time, you slash scenes, production etc.

- If your bussines software dev is running out of time and does not meet the minimun requirement, you can NOT slash it. Specially if it mission critical.
