Maybe it all boils down to copyright. Having a method that believably removes the capacity to generate copyrighted results might give you some advantage with respect to some legislation.

There is just too much randomness in life and control is an illusion. Of course, it is true that some life choices will close or open doors, but, again, life is messy for everyone.
By the way, when did mindfulness fall out of favor with tech people? I have the feeling there is a whole new generation that again has to learn the benefits of contemplative practices from scratch. Anyone here read Search inside yourself etc. ten years ago?

Offenbach also hosts a relatively large Japan festival (in Germany). Wood joinery, at least in my mind, is a very Japanese craft. I wonder if this is by accident.

This thought experiment is deeply flawed as it assumes that what you propose is possible and the outcome would be as you suggest. I am not convinced that people can bootstrap themselves like this and that language itself does not contain views, values and perspectives.

A rounded arrow on turnable knob with text is a clear visual signifier for what will happen when you turn the knob. The ambiguity just makes it bad design.

Just want to add that using data from a game engine gives you perfect camera poses associated to each image. That makes training of nerfs and GS a little easier since there is no error from camera pose optimization. That's also the reason early Nerf papers used the famous yellow Lego excavator rendered with blender.

Okay, want I cannot directly agree with in your original post is the notion that flow of time is an illusion and that it follows from the argument. Obviously, as you argue, with relativity, it is not possible to have an absolute 'now'. But isn't it possible to have a local flow of time? All things you perceive are not the events themselves (happened in your past), but their effects on your now.

I don't feel like I am in a position to do a recommendation here, but I agree that already the title implicates that this is something to talk about with a professional. Since this probably will not be possible in the short term, it might be worth a try to look into some cognitive therapy literature. For me, these made a difference:
- David Burns: Feeling good - The new mood therapy
- Martin Seligmann: Learned Optimism
And that I actually would recommend to everyone ...

Interestingly, the polarized training you describe is also know as the 80/20 rule that specifically recommend the opposite (80% low intensity + 20% high intensity) of what you mean by 80-20 (do just 20% to gain 80% of results).

Just to dump an idea: Maybe instead of using a scale based rating, you could experiment with something that has not a clear maximum value to prevent the all 5-star rating effect described by others. The only thing that directly comes to my mind would be a button, that the user has to hold until the time matches the perceived rating.

SCP-3125 does not exist, as it is not an officially recognized SCP number within the SCP Foundation universe. If you're looking for an SCP entry related to the number 3125, you can create one yourself or ask the community to create it for you.
