Your argument is one and a half case in a ocean of nonstop billionaire bullshittery?

Zimbabwean dollars I hope because 1 million usd PER BOARD?

What happened to that kind of posts? I haven't seen them in a while. Last one maybe two years ago looking for Stripe support. Are they now automatically deleted or something?

If AI destroy the world who would make them accountable? If not, then the risk is fictional and doesn't matter.

This shit writes by itself. Easiest best seller ever.
AI = Anti Ictus.

It was there all this time. I need renowned writer Dan Brown's email ASAP.

Adobe? How so? I didn't know Adobe was a big player in the AI boom
Alien technology? What are you talking about.
Is it the same feature offered by SimpleLogin from Protonmail?
>I don't really get why it's a free pass for you though

It doesn't. But I can't for the life of me understand why people keeps trusting Meta, why they keep making Zuckerberg rich and more powerful. He's been doing this for almost 20 years already, nobody can say they didn't know what Meta does. Ok, I get that they couldn't give a shit about privacy, but the consequences of a more invasive and powerful Meta are suffered by the entire world. To me that's stupid, selfish, shortsighted. It's like if you keep going to a restaurant where they served you a literal turd once, then claim it was an oopsie and just keep doing it. Sure in a civilized country they would be out of business and thrown in jail, but still... why the fuck should you keep going there?!!

>It didn't do what was instructed - instructions didn't include hacking into any infrastructure, internal or external

What is it then? It did what it wanted? They are sentient now and their drive is... hacking into systems? Maybe they we're not instructed to hack, but instructed to do what instead?

It's software. It's instructions running on silicon. If you don't hit run, they don't run. If you don't give them instructions, they don't do shit at all. Literally. There's no instance, ever, in history of software running because they wanted to, and acting as they wanted to. They follow instructions, and if they are instructed to reach a goal with a set of tools and given environment, and a way to search the strategy space, they can eventually "hack" if that meet the criteria of success of the instructions given. With access to the same tools and environment you can do the same with a massive decision tree.

Also, "reasoning" is marketing speech, please.

>Meta can't resist an opportunity to spy on its user

People put meta cameras on their faces and go to the bathroom without take them out. Are they children? Are they poor souls without agency on their own? Are they retarded? By now everyone know what Meta does, if you choose to use their products and being spied on, it's on you.

Geez even the literally 1 line "about" is written with AI. What do people mean when they write "so I built..."?
Re:Butlerian Jihad on Saturday October 17, 2026 @08:10AM (#50130399)
>Hacking incidents this summer show that big labs struggle to control models

The models are software. Software cannot decide by itself to run. Hardware doesn't decide by itself to run either. Someone put software on a machine and ran it with capture the flag instructions and the software did what was instructed using tools available and working in its environment.

I hope this helps.

Really?. Define "quickly" please.

Edit: nvm. 10k would be just around 95k kms.

Inter-galactic? My dude I think you missed a few steps

>This one was initially intriguing, but as I earlier said, is a well defined and constrained bounded domain. The accusation that hours earlier other human researchers's work may have been used to plagiarize the proof has muddied the waters further.

It's even worse. They claim, and the media repeat, that new math results are product of the models intelligence. But we all know there are elite mathematicians working for these companies (OAI, Anthropic) and basically are they who are coming up with new results, assisted by AI, not the other way. And we still don't know how much of the heavy lifting is done by each part. If the models are PhD smart, shouldn't be able to come up with results with minimal guidance? If they're so innovative why the need of an army of top mathematicians, engineers, physicists, etc. and thousands agents and millions in tokens to do novel work? It's just seems to me that humans are doing (barely, hence the plagiarism) the creative, innovative work and AI agents are just useful to explore a massive space of bullshit hypotheses to find something that finally sticks, after being validated again by an army of human experts. AGI and the near super intelligence? It doesn't track.

Re:Can AI automate AI R&D yet? on Saturday October 10, 2026 @08:41PM (#50038597)
>If AI is so innovative then why am I seeing a dumb idiot every time I discuss anything even remotely innovative with it.

Also, if AI is so innovative why frontier labs still struggle to come up with a money printing product? It's everything so confusing: They have AGI, but their product is an app/API, which is so world-ending dangerous, but their latest product is a set of cute agents running on your own machine, but also is so smart it can do the work of a PhD on almost every field of human knowledge, but most ot they have to show is in something so machine specific like math proofs.

Is "durable" the buzzword of the moment? I'm a bit lost here. I've seen it a lot lately but in wildly different contexts.

Every book of the series is amazing in its own way.
