So what.
It was GW Bush winning the election that allowed Microsoft to a settlement.

The Postal Service is one of the few entities directly authorized by the US Constitution. From Article 1, Section 8:

> The Congress shall have Power… To establish Post Offices and post Roads

With that one of the hallmarks of the USPS is they really strive to service every person in the country no matter how remote.

The fact they’ve turned it into a “business” and not a public good is really a tragedy.

This court doesn’t care about precedent.

And Google will exit at 12 months when the S&P seasoning period and 4 quarters of profitability are satisfied.

This is exactly how the dot com crash happened. People point out this like pets.com, but that wasn’t the issue. It was the musical chairs the played with the fiber telecoms. Today it’s data centers.

That icon is a "close Carplay/Auto" button. My Subaru has a Subaru button; my wife's Mazda has a Mazda button.

All our bookkeeping is now in YAML. Watch the spaces on your way out the door.

Very far from pro-energy when you give companies money to cancel energy projects that are not burning green house gases.

New England colonists had a habit of ransacking and burning down the houses of government officials throughout the 1760s and during the Revolutionary War. Got bad enough that most did not sleep in their government housing.
That’s juicy coming from the current Republican Party.
It’s right at the top of the linked bill.

The attorney general or a district attorney may bring a civil action on behalf of the state against a person that violates the prohibition against individualized price or wage setting based on surveillance data to seek the imposition of civil penalties. In addition, a person aggrieved by a violation of the prohibition specified in the bill may bring a civil action on behalf of themself or a group of similarly situated persons to restrain further violations and to recover damages, costs, and reasonable attorney fees. A violation of the prohibition against individualized price setting or individualized wage setting is a deceptive trade practice under the "Colorado Consumer Protection Act".

What makes Anthropic the most money.
It’s as random as any other UUID.
The problem isn't only papers it's that the world of academic computer science coalesced around conference submissions instead of journal submissions. This isn't new and was an issue 30 years ago when I was in grad school. It makes the work of conference organizes the little block holding up the entire system.
The entire thread is people missing this simple point.
Re:Amazon confirms 14,000 job losses in corporate division on Tuesday October 28, 2025 @08:53AM (#45732206)
There's a better word for it.
We've taken the one task that computers are inherently good at and somehow made it worse.
It's become worse since 2017 when they changed the 1040 to make it "shorter." All they did was move everything to different forms so now it's an insane process of shuffling numbers back and forth across many forms.
They helpfully send you letter when you screwed up, too.

But that uses TPM backed keys only protected by the TPM PSRs. Someone could still swipe your box and unlock the disk.

You don’t. You can’t even serve ads in search without issues. Even when ads on Google were basic text not inline they were an intrusion into the response.
Rick Scott made his money by being the CEO of a company that paid a $1.7 billion fine for Medicare fraud.[0] He’s one of the most corrupt people in Congress.

The language lets you get around a bunch of pesky laws by declaring it a "national defense emergency."
They did it. The Republicans rolled it all back.
Healthy food and cleaning up the food supply was an initiative of Michelle Obama. There was a big push to regulate healthly public school lunches and the FDA to have sensible regulations that matched the rest of the world. This all would have been accomplished a decade ago.

Instead, every Republican and Fox News called her a Communist (and worse) and that it was un-American to have the government tell people what to eat.
