Re:Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with? on Friday August 14, 2026 @04:38PM (#49304269)
I’m pretty sure this is a Claude code bug - if you do ctrl+o you can see those hidden responses from Fable. Fable doesn’t know the harness is bugged, so I added instruction to my Claude.md to save all commentary for final message.
You can set these policies at an org level in ChatGPT business and Claude team
Wouldn’t that be a sin?
Re:The L in "LLM" Stands for Lying on Thursday March 05, 2026 @09:20AM (#47261788)
Was software authorship ever deterministic? Whether it be human or AI, the output can vary wildly, and is constrained by the finite specifications provided.

Re:The bachelor tax – what it costs in taxes to be single on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @11:49PM (#46791185)

Re:Parental Controls Aren't for Parents on Friday January 02, 2026 @09:52AM (#46465294)
Your son is talking to his friends in this book chat, and playing Minecraft with them. How do other parents go about governing this?

Re:Dolly Parton's Dollywood Express on Wednesday June 11, 2025 @08:01PM (#44253138)
I had the same feeling when I first rode it. It’s wasteful - a theme park is fundamentally wasteful. But it’s the only time in my life I’ll get to ride a steam engine. And for many others, the only time they’ll ever be on a train.
Re:Updates to Advanced Voice Mode for paid users on Saturday June 07, 2025 @05:01PM (#44212641)

Re:Joe Biden stands down as Democratic candidate on Sunday July 21, 2024 @11:58PM (#41030818)
> who in the hell can be so stupid/ignorant to still be undecided in this election

We only know the name of the Republican candidate at this time. You can make your decision how you want, I’ll make mine when I see who I have to decide between.

I like this analogy a lot. They both give you a very intuitive feel for the data and calculations being applied.
Re:This is a teenager on Wednesday April 17, 2024 @12:14AM (#40060347)
Probably the whole concept of utility breaks down if we were to include schadenfreude like that
Re:Transpile Any SQL to PostgreSQL Dialect on Monday March 18, 2024 @08:26PM (#39751687)

Re:Ask HN: Is Unlimited PTO a Scam on Sunday November 19, 2023 @12:42PM (#38335297)
The phrase “modern countries” feels unnecessarily antagonistic. This is HN, we’re not here for flame wars.
